Mustang Golf beats Clay City 172 – 189

The Girls Track team had some great performances at last night’s sectional track meet at Bloomington North.

Leading the way was Ella Hayden who won the Long Jump in a new school record of 17′ 1.5″.  Advancing to next weeks Regional were Emma Bitner in the 800M, Addison Georges in the 300 Hurdles, Emma Edwards in the High Jump, Ashley Abram in the pole vault along with all 3 relay teams.  Members of the 4 x 100 are Ella Hayden, Addison Georges, Ashley Abram, and Claire Sherfield in a School Record, 4 x 400  Claire Sherfield , Emma Edwards, Emma Bitner, and  Piper Stevens. 4 x 800 Emma Bitner, Emma Edwards, Riley Hasket,  Zoe Powell.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Seniors participating in Honors Night: You will be wearing graduation caps and gowns tonight and are to meet in the gym, with caps and gowns on and ready to go, at 6:30.  The program actually begins at 7:00 and will run until about 9:15.

Seniors: Don’t forget to bring your swimsuits to Holiday World Friday!

Student Art Show is this weekend! Join us this Sunday, 5/22 from 2 – 4pm in the EHS Commons for an afternoon of celebrating art at EHS. Prizes will be awarded to artists and raffle items will be available for attendees.

Poetry Underground is Back! Get a great start to finals week with poetic inspiration on Monday, May 23, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Come prepared to read your own or someone else’s poetry, or feel free to simply enjoy listening to others. This free event will take place in the Green Room underneath the auditorium stage–follow the signs when you enter the commons. Please SIGN UP in the library. Refreshments will be served, and everything is free.

Senior Yard Signs:  Kirkwood is still offering yard signs for students.  No minimum purchase, they are $25.00 each. Visit kirkwoodphoto.com, choose your picture from the school gallery, and click “Visit Shop.”

Summer School Registration

Please return all library books that are overdue. Soon bills will be sent to parents for outstanding library book fees. So dig up those overdue books and bring them into the library or put them in the book drop in the commons.

Tutoring: Edgewood’s Tutoring Site, sponsored by NHS, offers tutoring in Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Computer Science, and Choir. Students will be able to simply submit their questions on a Google Form and NHS tutors will respond. The forms, along with more information, can be found at this link.

MCPL Math Homework Help For Teens: The Monroe County Public Library Downtown Branch offers free homework help on Mondays from 7-8:30 PM. See the flyer for more details.

Student Drivers: All students who plan to drive to school must have a completed Parking Permit Registration on file with the school even if the car has been previously registered by another EHS student/sibling and already has a parking tag. Every car in the student parking lot must be registered to the current driver.

  • Students who have registered as drivers in a previous year and have not changed vehicles are not required to register again.
  • After you have filled out the form, bring your driver’s license and $1 cash to Mrs. Johnson in the school office ASAP to receive your sticker.

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT/SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Students who would like to request to see their counselor, should complete this Google form: Request to See Your Counselor. The form should only be completed using the student’s RBB email.

IU Game Development Camp: Do you like playing video games? Have you ever thought about making your own game? If so, the Indiana University Game Development Camp is for you!
