GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Student Vehicles: All student vehicles MUST be registered and stickered before this Friday, 10/22. Any students with unregistered vehicles on Friday and after will be given an automatic Thursday school. Parking Permit Registration

Seniors: All seniors will turn in their graduation order forms and payment at school on October 22 during English class. If you know you will be absent on the 22nd, you must turn in your order form and payment by Wednesday, October 20 to Mrs. Johnson. We will post a video of the presentation to the graduation section on our website once we are able.

Students who order merchandise such as shirts, lanyards, tassels will receive those items on the 22nd. If absent, you may pick yours up in the office on or after Monday the 24th if you turned in your order form early.

Virtual students should bring their order forms and payment to the office on or before the 22nd.

Kirkwood Retakes: EHS Retakes and Virtual Students 2021-22

Juniors:  Scheduling appointments have been posted outside the back entrance to the office and across from the cafeteria.  Be sure to check your appointment date/time so you will be prepared.  If your parent wants to participate via Zoom, let your counselor know ASAP.

Afghan Refugee Project: Ellie Wooden is collecting items for the Afghan Refugees in Indiana for an NHS project. Items listed here can be donated to a box in Mrs. Niehoff’s room through October 22.

Key Club is collecting donations for UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund). The homeroom that collects the most money will win a donut party on Nov. 8th! Donate any loose change or spare dollars, anything helps!

Blood Drive: Student Council will be hosting a blood drive today in the small gym. This is for students and staff only.

Tutoring: This week marks the launch of Edgewood’s Tutoring Site. Sponsored by NHS, this site will offer tutoring in Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Computer Science, and Choir. Students will be able to simply submit their questions on a Google Form and NHS tutors will respond. The forms, along with more information, can be found at this link.

Attention students returning from quarantine. Remember that you will need to eat lunch in the gym for four days upon returning to school. You MUST check in with Ms. Dirk in the gym each day at lunch. Students who do not will be assigned detention.

Student Drivers: All students who plan to drive to school must have a completed Parking Permit Registration on file with the school even if the car has been previously registered by another EHS student/sibling and already has a parking tag. Every car in the student parking lot must be registered to the current driver.

  • Students who have registered as drivers in a previous year and have not changed vehicles are not required to register again.
  • After you have filled out the form, bring your driver’s license and $1 cash to Mrs. Johnson in the school office ASAP to receive your sticker.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES

Interested in joining the Student Life Task Force? Our mission is to evaluate and change school policies to better the school and school environment. All are welcome to apply using this form. Reach out to Mrs. Boisvert-Storey if you have any questions.

Swimming and Diving: Attention any girl or boy interested in being part of the 2021-22 Swimming and Diving Team! Coach Kohne is having a call out meeting immediately after school for BOTH Girls and Boys Teams TODAY 10/18/2021.  The meeting should last about 30 minutes. If you cannot make it to the meeting, please stop by Mr. Kohne’s room to pick up information. Be one of the first to swim in the newly renovated pool or dive from the 2 new diving boards!
