Hey Colts! Our EJHS Student Council is working hard at starting a Colts Care Closet. This will be a project that helps our students get their personal needs met here at school.
We will have a Colts Care Closet Drive April 17-21 to help us collect items. The homeroom that brings the most items in for each grade will win a prize!
6th Grade: Your responsible items are: Shampoo, Conditioner, & Body Wash
7th Grade: Deodorant, Face wipes, Hair brushes/combs, & nail trimmers.
8th grade: Toothpaste, Laundry detergent, dryer sheets
Turn in your donations to your homeroom teacher. At the end of the week, it will be counted and collected. We’ll announce our grade-level winners the following week.

EJHS Cheer tryouts are right around the corner! If you are interested please fill out the Google form attached and a cheer packet will be emailed with more information including two forms to fill out and return at the first clinic. Below are the clinic and tryout dates and times. student-athletes must have a completed physical form on file in the office before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire next school year.

Parents & guardians, if you are able to readjust appointments the week of April 24th between the times of 7:30-10:30 that will help your child stay on track. Otherwise, we will be pulling students out of class the following week for makeup testing.

ATHLETIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Tennis:
4/10/23: Girls tennis played their first match on Saturday vs. Washington Jr High School. The Black Team lost 1-4, while the Red Team tied 1-1. Individual wins included doubles partners Kaylah Hadley and Hannah Justis as well as doubles partners Jasmin Larios and Jade Pham. Girls tennis plays their second match tonight at the Edgewood tennis courts at 5:30p. Admission is free and it’ll be beautiful weather to come to watch your Colts play tennis. See you there!

4/11/23: Girls tennis played their second match of the season last night vs. Indian Creek Middle School. The Black Team had a clean sweep, winning 5-0. The Red Team also won 3-2. Individual wins included Singles Players: Cora Jones, Meg Wilson, and Sam Thompson. Doubles wins included doubles partners Kaylah Hadley + Hannah Justis, Kelsey Blevins + Holly Scholl, Ava Lilley + Haley Hamilton, Jasmin Larios + Jade Pham, and Poppy Bishop + Alaina Felton. Way to go Colts!

Students if you’re not feeling well report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.

Last opportunity to purchase your EJHS 2023 Yearbook. After February 24th, a limited supply MIGHT be available for an additional price. All copies will be delivered during the last week of school.

Students if you have a physical form please turn that into the office as soon as possible. We will be using GOFAN to collect transportation fees this season. The cost is $30 and must be paid before the first competition.
