April 29, 2022 - Edgewood Schools

Students will be completing the iLEARN assessments today. These assessments require that students bring wired earbuds/headphones to their testing rooms. Please note that wireless earbuds/headphones will NOT be allowed during testing. Students who do not have wired earbuds/headphones will be given a pair.

Last night the girls’ softball team faced off against John Wooden Middle School. In the A-game, Ally Bland pitched a no-hitter for the win of 3-0. Girls with hits included Madi Bland, Ella Sproul, Ava LaRoche, and Lizzy Austin. In the B-game, Lillian DeSalle and Autumn Coons pitched tough, but the team just fell short with a loss of 5-3. Girls with hits included Ryleigh Burnett, Lillian DeSalle, Ella Sproul, Libby McElhinney, Haylie Taylor, and Autumn Coons. Great games girls!

There will be a meeting after school today in the cafeteria at Edgewood High School for 8th-grade boys interested in playing soccer on the high school team next year.

Student athletic physicals will be given at Edgewood High School on Wednesday, May 11th, from 6 – 8:30 pm. The cost will be $25. We encourage any student who may be interested in participating on any athletic team for the 2022-2023 school year to take advantage of this evening. Students MUST have a physical on file before trying out for any sport.

Hey, everybody! Are you interested in getting more physically strong and gaining endurance and speed? Mr. Siegelin and a few of our coaches are starting a Horse Power Club! It will include strength, conditioning, endurance-building, and weightlifting! We will start on Friday, May 6th, right after school until 4 pm in the gym. See Coach Sparks or Coach Edgeman for more information.
