Congratulations to the EJHS members of the Edgewood Indoor Percussion who won the Indiana Percussion Association Class A State Championship this past Saturday at the Hulman Center on the campus of Indiana State University. Their show “Bushido: The Way of the Warrior” received first place with a score of 90.175. This is the group’s second year taking the top spot at the finals. EJHS members included DJ Brown, Every Lauderbaugh, Jack Oldham, Finn Panagopoulos, Ben Welch, and Caroline Worden. Special congratulations to Carly Beatty and Kylie Miller who were a part of the first championship last year as well. Great job!
The new issue of Colts Chronicles is out today, and you will notice two new things. First, you will find four new and in-depth articles on our homepage. These articles were written by some of our editors. Check them out! And secondly, you may notice that some of the articles on this issue seem a little far-fetched. That’s because it’s April Fools’! There are several “fake” articles hidden in this issue. Can you find them? Fill out the survey on our homepage for a chance to win candy.
The countdown to the book fair is on! From April 10th to the 21st, The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our library, with hundreds of awesome book options that YOU get to choose from. We can’t wait to welcome you to the Best. Week. Ever.
Volleyball open gyms for incoming 2023-2024 7th and 8th graders will be on Fridays from 5:30-7 pm in the multipurpose room. For more information see Ms. Edgeman in the Media Center.
EJHS Cheer tryouts are right around the corner! If you are interested please fill out the google form attached and a cheer packet will be emailed with more information including two forms to fill out and return at the first clinic. Below are the clinic and tryout dates and times. student-athletes must have a completed physical form on file in the office before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire next school year.

Parents & guardians, if you are able to readjust appointments the week of April 24th between the times of 7:30-10:30 that will help your child stay on track. Otherwise, we will be pulling students out of class the following week for makeup testing.
Students if you’re not feeling well report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.

Last opportunity to purchase your EJHS 2023 Yearbook. After February 24th, a limited supply MIGHT be available for an additional price. All copies will be delivered during the last week of school.
