Chromebooks: If you are a student and do not have a Chromebook, please visit Ms. Edgeman in the Media Center. Any issues, repairs, etc. also need to go to the Media Center.
EJHS Football Paoli Food Drive: This Thursday, the EJHS Colts will open their season against Paoli. For this week’s game, the football team is running a food drive to support Paoli Last week, Paoli had severe weather and a tornado touched down.
The Colts are asking students and parents to bring out canned goods or non-perishable food items to the game. During the week, items can also be turned in to the Front Office or Coach Sparks in the gym.

PTO Spirit Sale: Show your school pride and support your EJHS PTO! The official Edgewood spirit sale is now open: bit.ly/EDGEFALL23. Shop now – September 5 and all apparel will be delivered no later than the end of September (drinkware and seat cushions may come a little later). 100% of all proceeds go right back to support EJHS students, teachers, and staff.
Dollars for Scholars 5K – Sept. 9th: Mark your calendars! The Edgewood Dollars for Scholars (DFS) 5K Run/Walk is Saturday, September 9th at 8:30 AM, starting behind EIS. In May 2023, Edgewood DFS awarded a record-breaking $59,500 to Edgewood seniors. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, so please consider coming out to run/walk and help raise scholarship money for Edgewood seniors!! Link for more info and registration: https://
Try Lacrosse! The Bloomington Lacrosse Organization will be hosting a three-part series of “Try Lacrosse” events beginning August 20th. If you have ever wanted to play or learn about this fast-paced, energetic sport, this is a perfect opportunity to do so in a casual, laid-back atmosphere. Join us on Sunday, August 20th From 2-4 pm At “The Bowl” @ Karst Farm Park (1st open field on the left as you enter the park) Future dates: September 17th & October 22nd Boys and Girls ages 8 to 18 are welcome to join.
The Bloomington Lacrosse Organization would like to extend a special invite for middle school girls as a girls-only team will be coming soon!

STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Horsepower: Edgewood Junior High School’s very own strength and conditioning club is starting back up every Friday right after school until 4 pm unless otherwise notified.
Robotics Club: EJHS Robotics begins after school today in room 221. All are welcome! You can find room 221 in the hallway between the gym and the cafeteria. If you are unable to make it today, you can come anytime this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Grimes.
Color Guard: Interested in learning new skills, performing, and making new friends? Come to Edgewood junior high color guard tryouts on August 16th from 5:30-7 pm in the junior high band room.
Theater Club: If you are interested in joining the theater club please complete this form. Theater Club will begin meeting on Tuesdays, starting August 22nd until 3:30 pm. Pick up will be at door 2. We will spend the first-semester learning theater skills, playing games, doing improv, etc. In the second semester, we will have auditions for a school play or musical. You can be in the club even if you don’t wish to perform on stage!
ATHLETICS INFORMATION
Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire next school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athlete prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. FinalForms: All physicals are now completed through FinalForms. All athletes MUST be registered on FinalForms. Register HERE
Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete will be required to pay a $30 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink HERE.
Event Tickets: We are cashless. We will have a card reader for bank and credit cards at the gate. Or you can pre-purchase tickets on Eventlink HERE.
- Gate Ticket Prices: $5 per person or $15 per family
- EJHS All Sports Season Passes (Coming soon): Each pass is good for admission to all home EJHS athletic events excluding County and WIC tournaments. Non-Transferable – Edgewood High School events are not covered by this pass.

- 2023-2024 Adult Pass – $40
- 2023-2024 Student/Child Pass – $20

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT
The final day to request a schedule change for the school year is Wednesday, August 16. Counselors will make all updates in Harmony by the end of the day on Friday, August 18th. Many elective classes are currently filled, but we will look into all schedule change requests made by the due date. The only requests that will not be considered are requests for a specific teacher, swapping the same class for a different period, or requests to be with friends. Students will be notified by email if their schedule change request is possible.
Students who would like to request to see their counselor should complete this Google form: EJHS Counselor Sign up. The form should only be completed using the student’s RBB email.
JOKE OF THE DAY
