Swimmers and divers both lost to Jackson Creek last night but had some great swims – we had lots of best times. Winning their events were Sophia Kapperman – 50 free, Ellie Vagedes – 100 IM, and Avery Dunham – diving. Notable performers were Ari Vician, Gabriel Tassi, Jaelyn Woodcock, Maddi Porter, Anthony Straw, Maya Gill and Ava Lilley.
The 7th-grade girls’ basketball team hosted the Owen Valley Patriots last night. They played hard but lost the contest 32-20. Scoring for EJHS were Leia Frye with 7 points, Brylee Moore with 6 points, Bella May with 3 points, and Rilynn Williams and Sydney Austin each with 2 points.
The 8th-grade girls beat Owen Valley 54 to 34. Scorers for the game were Madison Bland with 24 points, Macey Crider with 16 points, Allison Bland and Addison Yearby with 4 points each, Ava LaRoche and Ava Norton with 2 points each, and Kyleigh Murphy and Lizzy Austin with 1 point each.
