Calling all 8th-Graders – You should have received an important email with a Google Form link to choose this year’s 8th-grade superlatives for the 2022 yearbook. If you fill out the form, your vote will help choose who is the most athletic, the best artist, and more. So check your email, fill out the form by Friday, January 21st, and make your vote count!

Yearbook pictures for academic teams will be taken in the lobby during homeroom this week as follows:
Thursday – Math and English teams
Friday – Science and Social Studies teams
Please listen for your team to be called.

Colts Chronicles is also starting a student submission option! Students can submit anything from articles and short stories, music pieces, or even artwork like comic strips or drawings. Students interested may share their work with Ashton Crosley at arcrosley@rbbschools.net and Mallori Evans at mnevans@rbbschools.net Remember that not all submissions will be added to the issue but you can always try again for the next week! Design Lab Club will meet today from 2:30 to 3:30 in the Design Lab.

Japan Club will meet today from 2:30-3:30 in Ms. Epperson’s room.

Academic Super Bowl Social Studies will meet tomorrow, January 13th, from 2:30-3:30 in Ms. Epperson’s room.

The wrestling team had five champions at the Colt Invite this past Saturday! Winning for the Colts were Reid Lanman, Dylan Foster, John Orman, Noah Webb, and Cayleb Stephens. Way to go Colts!

The 6th-grade boys’ basketball team defeated St. Charles Tuesday evening 41-5 to move to 3-0 on the season. They play at North Clay tonight. Good luck Colts!

The 7th-grade girls’ basketball team has started their season and was on the road twice this week. Monday night they fell just short against Bloomfield with a final score of 36-34 and last night lost to WRV 36-16.

The 8th-grade girls’ basketball team defeated WRV 36-29 last night. Leading scorers were Madison Bland with 18 points, Ava LaRoche – 8 points, Allison Bland – 7 points, Lizzy Austin – 2 points, and Kaitlyn Wright – 1 point.

Anyone interested in EJHS swimming or diving should join the Google Classroom (Code se24dnq) and fill out the online form. See Mrs. Musselwhite with questions.

The Edgewood baseball team will be holding their Winter Warm-Up Camp for grades 5 through 8 on the following Sundays: February 13th, 20th, and 27th. Athletes who attend the camp will get to learn new drills and concepts to get them ready for the upcoming baseball season. Parents can find the link on our Edgewood Mustangs Baseball Facebook page OR they can email Assistant Coach Sam Jones (sjones@rbbschools.net) for the registration link.
