Edgewood 6th grade boys lost both games vs North Clay was a very tough night for the boys. The A game started slow but the boys played much better in the 2nd quarter, reducing the lead down to 5 after only scoring one basket in the 1st quarter. They stayed in the game vs a tough North Clay team but the unforced turnovers were too much to overcome in the end. They were outscored 17-4 in the 4th quarter and lost 52-32. Luke Druckrey with 21, Zane Powell with 6, Drew Figg with 3, and Cooper Myers with 2.
B game had some great moments, but the boys were just outscored each quarter, it wasn’t a huge difference from quarter to quarter but a few points each quarter led to a loss of 27-16. Jesse Dixon lead the scoring with 6, Bricen Collins with 4, Liam Newton, Aiden Williamson, and Cooper White each added a bucket to complete the scoring.
Debate Club – Open to all grade levels
Do you like to argue and would like to learn how to take your skills to the next level? Due to recently expressed interest, we will have a callout meeting for Debate Club on Friday, January 20th from 2:30-3:30 Room 217. Off-season high school girl’s soccer workouts start this week from 3-4:30 Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays. We will do weights, conditioning, and footwork, and will play if the gym is open. Meet by the high school weight room. Workouts are open to any high school girls and current 7th and 8th grade girls who are interested in playing soccer once they get to high school.
