ALL after-school activities are cancelled for today.
Monday night the colts traveled to Indian Creek. The first game was A team, they were down a starter for the night but jumped on the braves right from the beginning, as they tried to take away Druckrey, the leading scorer of the first game, he had dished the ball out to give the colts an 11-0 1st qtr lead. Indian Creek never recovered as we went to half 22-3. The final score finished at 37-17. Druckrey had 11, Myers 8, Day 6, Figg 5, Dixon 3, and Goerges and Williamson both added a bucket to finish scoring for the A team.
The B team had a thriller of a night as they had 3 lead changes in the last 2 minutes, and what seemed to be a costly turnover that resulted in a layup and the foul to put Indian Creek on the line for 2 point lead, a missed free throw that Dixon rebound and took the ball coast to coast for a lay-in with 3 seconds left. Indian Creek tried a 3/4 quarter-court heave but was nowhere near the rim. The boys finished 19-18 for a huge emotional win. Collins led the charge with 7, Dixon and Newton both added 4, and Adair and Keller added a bucket to finish the scoring for the B game.
Tuesday night they played the rivals from across the river…. B game played first turnovers and missed shots had them 4 points down for the first half, and the lead was extended by 8 for the final score of 24-32 loss. Dixon led the way for the colts with 12, Collins added 4, Sturgis and White with 3 each, and Adair with 2.
The A game was a barn burner, they dropped 15 in the first quarter, 10 in the second for a halftime lead of 25-13, and a slow quarter in the 3rd with only 9 points but the defense stepped up and held OV to 5. By the 4th quarter, the game was all but over, with the colts dropping 12 and holding their opponent to 3, for a final score of 46-21. Druckrey dropped 15, Powell 11, Myers 7, Figg 5, and Day and Dixon both added 4 to complete the scoring.
There will be a call-out information session for the EJHS Science Fair tomorrow 1/26, during FLEX time. Any and all students who are interested in the science fair can sign up for this FLEX. If you are interested in participating in the science fair, but have been assigned to a different FLEX on Thursday, please email Mrs. Erickson at terickson@rbbschools.net or stop by room 113 for more information.

Hey Colts! The EJHS Robotics Valentine’s Candy Gram fundraiser will begin on Monday, January 30th. We will sell candy grams at lunch for $1 each. You will write your name and whoever you want to send it to and their homeroom on a Valentine’s tag. Candy grams will be delivered on February 13th and 14th during homeroom. The last chance to buy a candy gram at lunch will be Friday, February 10th.

Any 8th grader interested in playing football and not in a winter sport should attend workouts at EHS on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 4:00 pm.
We are excited to host our annual Edgewood Baseball Winter Warm-up as our youth prepare for their 2023 baseball season! We will host two sessions on Sunday, February 19th and 26th. Our younger group will go from 1:00-2:45 with our older group going from 3:00-5:15. Campers will get two sessions of skills, drills, and games along with a camp t-shirt with the registration. The camp is led by our current Edgewood players and coaching staff from both EHS and EJHS. Spaces are limited and the deadline for registration will be closed on Friday, February 10th. Students if you’re not feeling well report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.
