This week is National School Social Worker Week and we are honoring Mrs. Laughlin and Mr. Martin! The week celebrates school social workers across the country. It highlights their vital role in helping students meet academic, social, and emotional challenges. School Social Workers are trained mental health professionals with a degree in social work. They provide services related to a person’s social, emotional and life adjustment to school and society. School Social Workers are the link between the home, school, and community providing direct and indirect services to students, families and school personnel.
Be sure to preorder your EJHS 2021 yearbook by tomorrow to get the $20 price! Order at this online link. After March 5th, a limited supply MIGHT be available for an additional price. All copies will be delivered to students during the last week of school.
8th graders and parents: Please submit two .jpeg photos for use in the end-of-the-year slideshow. One image should be a current school-related photo, but not the school portrait. The other should be from when they were young. Please upload these .jpegs to https://images.jostens.com/415469191 by the Friday after Spring Break, March 26th.

8th-Grade Student Council will meet tomorrow, March 5th, from 2:30-3:30 in Room 121.

Edgewood girls’ softball tryouts will be held on Wednesday, March 10th, and Thursday, March 11th from 2:30-4:30. Tryouts for Edgewood High School 2021-2022 Cheerleaders will be held on March 9 from 4 PM to 6 PM, March 10 from 5:30 PM- 7:30 PM, and March 12 starting at 5:30 PM. Any 8th-grader interested will need to complete this google form and the application packet will be emailed directly to you. Edgewood Junior High School Track and Field signup is underway! Athletes wanting to participate in Edgewood Junior High School Track this spring should join the EJHS Track Google Classroom page using the code: oy76azg. Be sure to have a completed physical on file before the first practice. Practices start Monday, March 22nd!
There will be a basketball skills development workout for junior high boys again on March 9th, as well as March 11th, from 5 to 6:15 pm in the EJHS gym. All athletes must have a physical on file in the office to participate. Email Coach Moorhead (bmoorhead@rbbschools.net) with any questions.
