Detention will be hosted by Mr. Sparks after school in the cafeteria until 3:15 today.

Gabriel Campbell, Kaitlyn Wright, Taylor Pelletier, and Ashton Crosley competed at the National History Day in Indiana State Contest this past Saturday at Marian University in Indianapolis. Ashton Crosley advanced to the National Contest for National History Day with her second-place finish in the Research Paper category! Her paper was on “The Debate Surrounding the Women’s Liberation Movement.” Congratulations!

Congratulations to the members of the EJHS Academic Super Bowl Team. In the Regional Class 2 Competition, the English team won 1st, and the Interdisciplinary, Math, Science, and Social Studies teams won 2nd. The English Team also ranked 9th in State Class 2. Way to go Colts!

There is no Debate Club this week.

Art Club will meet this Thursday after school until 3:30 pm in the Art Room.

There is no Japan Club this week.

All Academic Super Bowl teams will have a celebration today from 2:30-3 pm in Ms. Epperson’s room.

Design Lab Club is canceled for tomorrow. There will be a makeup option offered for any students interested on Thursday after school.

All library books must be returned to the Media Center by May 20th.

Proud To Be Me Club will meet this Thursday after school in Room 205 until 3:15.

Last night the girls’ softball team hosted Greencastle. Mallori Evans pitched a great game for the win of 9-1. Girls with hits included Madi Bland, Jayden Stephens, Ella Sproul, Addy Yearby, Lizzy Austin, and Mallori Evans. Autumn Coons pitched for the win in the B game with a score of 14-4. Girls with hits included Ryleigh Burnett, Lizzy Austin, Sydney Austin, Lillian DeSalle, Libby McElhinney, Autumn Coons, Hayden Stevens, Averi Krebbs, and Kailyr Nichols! Way to go girls!

Any current 8th graders looking to run cross country in the fall should fill out this Google Form. Please contact Mr. Evans at zevans@rbbschools.net with any questions.

Student athletic physicals will be given at Edgewood High School on Wednesday, May 11th, from 6 – 8:30 pm. The cost will be $25 cash or check. We encourage any student who may be interested in participating on any athletic team for the 2022-2023 school year to take advantage of this evening. Students MUST have a physical on file before trying out for any sport.

Hey, everybody! Are you interested in getting more physically strong and gaining endurance and speed? Mr. Siegelin and a few of our coaches are starting a Horse Power Club! It will include strength conditioning, endurance building, and weightlifting! We will start on Friday, May 6th, right after school until 4 pm in the gym.
