GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Every Mind Matters Club will be hosting BC2M (Bring Change to Mind) week at EHS from 2/27 – 3/3.
Monday: Come join us in the library during lunch to take a personality test and learn more about yourself. Scan the QR code posted outside the library and the guidance office to access the tests.
Tuesday: Join us in performing a random act of kindness for someone you see today.
Wednesday: We’ll be passing out stickers at all three lunches.
Thursday: Check out our instagram throughout the day for a Q&A @ehsbc2m
Friday: During all three lunches we will be holding a raffle for a stanley cup! The money raised will be donated to Monroe County Youth Shelter. Raffle tickets will be $1 each and there is no limit. All students and staff are welcome and encouraged to participate!
*All week long club members will be wearing green bandanas. If you see one of us feel free to ask us about mental health or any questions you have.
The Senior/Faculty games will be hosted during regular school hours on Thursday, March 9. Admission is $1 with all proceeds going to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We hope to see everyone out in support of our awesome seniors, and teachers! Seniors were emailed the google form to sign-up on Friday.
Juniors: SAT testing room assignments have been posted outside the Guidance Office and across from the cafeteria. Be sure to check this so you know where to go for Thursday’s SAT.
Art Exhibition: Fifteen Edgewood artists will be featured in The Arts Alliance Center’s “Monroe County Emerging Artists” Exhibition. The opening reception is this Friday 6pm – 8pm and the show will be on display from Feb 24th – March 19th at the Arts Alliance Center in the College Mall. See more here.
Reminder to Juniors: All juniors will be taking the SAT one week from Thursday, March 2. A couple things regarding the SAT:
- Testing room assignments will be posted Friday outside the guidance office and outside the cafeteria. Be sure you check this prior to test day so you know where you will go for the SAT.
- Also, when you take the SAT, you will have the option of having your scores sent to up to four colleges. Between now and test day, give some thought to which colleges, if any, you would like your scores sent.
- More information about the SAT will be emailed this week to all juniors and parents of juniors so be sure to check your school email on a regular basis.
The All-Nighter is back!
What: Team games, inflatables, fun activities, a chance to win awesome prizes, and lots of food!
When: March 24th
Time: 8:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Cost: $5 per person
Registration will begin on Monday February 20th in all three lunches! You will also receive an All-Nighter shirt! Please don’t let the cost prevent you from attending. Reach out to Miss Brookman or Mr. Jones if financial assistance is needed.

Coffee Corral: The coffee shop will be open every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 7:15-7:50, from 7:45-8:50 on Wednesday, and all three lunches Wednesday and Friday! We will be adding new drinks soon, so make sure to stop by and get your morning beverage from the Mustang Coffee Corral!

STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Costa Rica Trip: Are you passionate about the Spanish language? Do you want to experience some real-world applications of environmental science? Do you want to explore the country of Costa Rica and learn about its people, food, and culture? If you answered YES to any of these questions, then consider joining us on our Summer 2024 trip to Costa Rica. See the flyers around the school for more details. Check out the QR code below for the itinerary of the trip. There will be a call-out meeting from 7-8PM on March 1st 2023 in Mrs. Boisvert-Storey’s Room E120. Parents, guardians, and students are encouraged to attend to get the most out of the meeting!

Unified Track: Students, if you are interested in being a part of the 2023 Unified Track Team, please fill out this Google Form. Students who fill out the form will be sent an invitation to the informational Zoom meeting.
Unified Track is a joint, special education and general education track team. Participants will compete alongside their classmates and those who are a part of the sectional roster will receive a varsity letter. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays and start the Tuesday we return from Spring Break. For more information, stop by Mr. Tucker’s room, E134.
Baseball: There will be a mandatory meeting for all players and parents on TONIGHT at 6:30 at EHS. If you are not on the Remind list for baseball, please see Mr. Jones in the front office.
March Book Club: All are welcome to join our discussion. Our new read is Traci Chee’s We Are Not Free, a historical fiction novel about fourteen Japanese-American teens during WWII. According to the book’s back cover: “In a world that seems determined to hate them, they must rally together as racism and injustice threaten to pull them apart.” Come to the library to check out a copy.
Writing Club: The Writing Club will meet Fridays after school in the library until 3:15. All are welcome!

Seniors: You can get help applying for financial aid for college at College Goal Sunday, this Sunday at Ivy Tech. See the email from Mr. Faust for more information.
Students who would like to request to see their counselor, should complete this Google form: Request to See Your Counselor. The form should only be completed using the student’s RBB email. Students may not request schedule changes based on teacher or period preference.
