RESULTS

The Mustangs Athletes had a great weekend competing on the hardwood and the mats.
On Friday the boys basketball team took down West Vigo 48-39 in West Terre Haute. This win gave Coach Wadsworth his 200th career coaching victory! Be sure to congratulate Coach Wadsworth for this amazing accomplishment.
On Saturday the wrestlers brought home two sectional championships with John Orman at 120 lbs and Michael Neidigh at 150 lbs!

The Mustangs also advanced four additional wrestlers to next week’s IHSAA Regional at Bloomington South! Congratulations to Caelyb SidesPeyton ArthurJoel Silvernail, and Cayleb Stephens for also moving onto Regionals!

Saturday night the Winter Homecoming witnessed the Mustangs basketballers take down Monrovia 61-49! Big thank you to Ms. Brookman and Ms. Boisvert for running an amazing homecoming week! 
 
Sectionals start this week for girls basketball on Tuesday, girls swimming and diving on Thursday, and a home boys basketball game Thursday night against Bloomington North!

EDGEWOOD SHOWCHOIRS – they performed at Ball State and  Sophisticated Ladies brought home best choreography, best visuals, best crew, and GRAND CHAMPION status for the Small univoice/treble division with Wren Millick winning best performer! In the small mixed division, Music Warehouse brought home 1st runner-up, and Camden Creeden was named Best Performer!

EDGEWOOD ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB – JANUARY NEWSLETTER
If you’re interested in learning about some historical topics from the 1980’s and ’90’s  like the Cold War era, the oil crisis, immigration reform issues, a scandal in the White House, and more…You should be on the social studies Academic Super Bowl team. See Mr. Winkler or Mrs. Van Allen today to find out how you can be on the team.
Ring Orders will take place on Thursday, February 1 during lunches AND after school from 2:30-6pm. 
German Honor Society students are collecting books for the EIS book swap as their service project for the year. Bring intermediate-level books suited for 2nd through 6th-grade reading levels to Frau Norris’ room from now until January 31st.
Please join us for a free public preview of the Edgewood High School Choirs: Vocal Odyssey, Sophisticated Ladies and Music Warehouse along with the Junior High Choirs on Wednesday, January 31st in the High School Auditorium at 7:00pm. This is a free event, but donations are welcome.

We’re kicking off the new year with a mystery for our Book Club selection. Any EHS student may join our book discussion during PlusTime on February 1. This month’s pick is Maureen Johnson’s mystery, Truly Devious. According to professional book reviewer, Emily Burack, this story “follows true-crime aficionado Stevie Bell after she’s admitted to Ellingham Academy in Vermont, declaring she’s going to solve the unsolved kidnapping of the founder’s wife and daughter from a century ago. It’s a page-turner mystery set at an elite school—perfect for dark academia fans.” Check out the book today in our library!

Any Edgewood athletes not currently involved in a currently active sport – the weight room is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after school until 4pm!

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT/SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Students who would like to request to see their counselor should complete this Google form: Request to See Your Counselor. The form should only be completed using the student’s RBB email. Students may not request schedule changes based on teacher or period preference.
