Colt Swimmers and Divers won their second meet in a row against Greencastle last night. We continue to see lots of improvements and athletes trying new events. Notable performances include: Arlyn Moorman, Anderson Shertzer and Declan Panagopolous in the 400, Carmen Frye and Kierston Walker in the 50 and our dive team of Annalise Emmons, Rayne Alderson, Anthony Straw and Liam Kersten

STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Softball Call Out: Attention Lady Colts! Any girls, grades 6-8, who plan on trying out for softball this year should fill out the 2024 Softball FORM and attend tryouts on March 6th and March 7th, from 2:30-4 pm. There will also be an optional conditioning on February 27th from 2:30-3:30. Everyone should plan for both indoor and outdoor; we will only be outdoors weather permitting. Wear appropriate attire and bring gear. Catcher gear is not necessary for day 1. Let Coach Ayer or Coach Schooling know if you have any questions.
Track and Field Call Out: Preseason conditioning will start on Monday, February 26th from 2:45-4 pm. Conditioning practices will be every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday till the official start of track season on Monday, March 18th. The Parent information meeting for the upcoming Track & Field season will be on Monday, March 4th at 3:30 pm in the Cafeteria.
Volleyball Call Out: Calling all current 6th & 7th graders interested in trying out for the school volleyball team next year! We will start open gyms on Friday, March 22nd right after school in the multipurpose gym until 4 pm. These are not required but are strongly recommended so you are ready for the season! Calendars and more information will be handed out at the first couple of open gyms!!
EHS Cheer Tryouts for Incoming Freshmen: Any student interested in trying out for the 2024 – 2025 Cheer Squad, please complete the Google form and we will send you all the information via email. We will have a clinic beginning Monday, March 4th, and Wednesday, March 6th from 5:30 – 7:00. Then on Thursday, March 7th, the tryout will begin at 6:30.

ATHLETICS INFORMATION
Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athletes prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete will be required to pay a $30 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink. Under contact information, please enter your athlete’s name and the sport you are paying for. for example “John Doe – Cross Country.” If you are paying for more than one athlete, please purchase them separately.

Event Tickets: We are cashless. We will have a card reader for bank and credit cards at the gate. Or you can pre-purchase tickets on Eventlink HERE.

Not Feeling Well: Students if you’re not feeling well report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.

Chromebooks/Chargers: If you have any issues or damage to your Chromebook please see Ms. Edgeman in the Media Center. Due to the high demand and lack of supply, we will no longer be able to provide students with a loaner charger during school hours. See Ms. Edgeman if you need to purchase a new charger.
