The EJHS girls’ tennis team lost a close battle to Brown County last night 2-3. Individual wins came from Ella Johnson, as well as the doubles duos of Audrey Gudmundson and Poppy Bishop, Rayne Alderson, and Emerson DeSalle, and Hannah Zook and Madeline Jackson. The team takes on Martinsville next Thursday!

Last night the Edgewood Colts ran against Martinsville and we had some outstanding results.
Girls results:
Cameron Session won both the 100M and 200M race
Addison Trisler set a new PR in the discus
Girls 4X100 won 1st place with Langley Hill, Lucy Mullis, Kendall Robinson, and Cameron Session.
Josephine Buckley won the 1600m race
Boys result
William Hosey won both the 100m and Long jump
Ryder Colford won the 200M
Hudson Martone won the 200 Hurdles
Axel Geboy tied for 1st place in the High jump
Jaden Lucas won both shot put and discus, throwing 138 feet in the discus
Zaden Norris won the 1600m
BREAKING NEWS: The boy’s 4X100 record set back in 2006 was finally broken last night by Carter Matthew, Ryder Colford, Darren Grubb, and William Hosey.

ILEARN begins NEXT WEEK
Students be sure you bring a charged Chromebook and a set of plug-in headphones each day of the week. We do not have any loaner Chromebooks. Lack of preparedness will result in delayed testing.
As a reminder: Cell Phones and smartwatches are not allowed in the testing rooms. Be sure you are placing your personal electronics in your locker before entering the testing room. Seen or heard devices will be confiscated and consequences will be provided by our administration.
To make ILEARN week a bit more enjoyable your student council has planned a spirit week for you! We’ll kick off the spirit week on Monday with a PJ day!
Lastly, the student council will be hosting a homeroom door decorating contest. Doors must be decorated during homeroom by April 30th. The doors will be judged on Wednesday, May 1st. The winning homeroom will get a pizza party lunch!

If you are a current sixth or seventh grader interested in auditioning for Sophisticates or Mini Warehouse show choirs next school year, auditions will be held next week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. You only need to attend one day, and you must pick up the audition information packet outside the choir room to audition. Talk to Mrs. Campbell if you have any questions!

ATHLETICS INFORMATION
2024-2025 ATHLETIC PHYSICAL NIGHT
Edgewood High School will be hosting the 2024 Physical Night for anyone interested in playing sports for the 2024-2025 school year on Monday, May 13th from 6:00 – 9:00 in the EHS Gymnasium. This will be for any student entering grades 6-12.
We are excited to expand our physicals night with more doctors and stations to help make this a smoother, more efficient process while also allowing you to select a time slot that will best fit your needs for the evening.
Here are a few items that are important to know before May 13th.
1) Registration – The cost of the physical is $25 and can be purchased through EventLink to complete your registration. We are only taking payment via EventLink for this event so paying ahead of time is important. Edgewood Physical

-Select the “Physicals Night at Edgewood High School”.
2) Final Forms – We have partnered with Final Forms (see letter) to create a better system for handling athletic physicals and creating a student safety tool for our coaches, athletic trainers, and athletic administrators. For the 2024-2025 school year and beyond all athletes will be required to have a Final Forms account.
So what do I need to do before the EHS Physicals Night?
– If you HAVE Final Forms, you should sign in and update your information for your athlete.
– If you DO NOT have Final Forms, follow the Parent Playbook to set up your account.
Please have this completed before you come in for our EHS Physical Night on May 13th!

Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athletes prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete must pay a $30 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink. If you haven’t already created one, it will require you to create an account. Creating an account will also give you quick access to schedules and purchase tickets to upcoming events.

Event Tickets: We are cashless. We will have a card reader for bank and credit cards at the gate. Or you can pre-purchase tickets on Eventlink HERE.
- Gate Ticket Prices: $5 per person
- EJHS All Sports Season Passes: Each pass is good for admission to all home EJHS athletic events excluding County and WIC tournaments. Non-Transferable – Edgewood High School events are not covered by this pass.

Not Feeling Well: Students, if you’re not feeling well, report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.

Chromebooks/Chargers: If you have any issues or damage to your Chromebook please see Ms. Edgeman in the Media Center. Due to the high demand and lack of supply, we will no longer be able to provide students with a loaner charger during school hours. See Ms. Edgeman if you need to purchase a new charger.
