RESULTS
The Lady Mustang softball team continued their winning ways defeating visiting Greencastle by a score of 10-0. The Lady Stangs used 3 home runs and 3 doubles in the 4th inning to plate 9 runs. Jayden Stephens led off the inning with a solo home run and hit another later in the inning to cap off the scoring, Oliivia Mc Pherson hit the other homer of the inning. Having the doubles were: Courtney Hamilton, Madi Bland and Alli Bland. Alli Had 10 stike outs and only allowed 1 hit in the contest.

Participants in next year’s internship program need to go to our Google Classroom page and complete the Google form with reflections on the internship fair. We need to know your top two choices for placements. This needs to be taken care of today. Please see Mr. Wadsworth if you have questions.

Seniors: If you are receiving a college scholarship, we would like to recognize this at Honors Night; however, we do not necessarily know if you are receiving a scholarship so please complete the EHS Scholarship Recipient Google Form. The link to this form was emailed to all seniors yesterday morning.

Library Trivia Contest: Do you slay at trivia? Prove it! Sign up your team of 2-4 students.for the second annual Trivia Contest. It will be run Academic Super Bowl style, with your team getting 20 seconds to write down the answer to each question. Then the correct answers will be tallied, and a winner will be declared. The questions cover topics like sports, geography, science, music, movies, literature, and pop culture. All students are welcome to enter. It’s important that teams sign up in the library by the end of the day Monday! So throw a team together quickly and let Mrs. Van Allen know ASAP.

On Saturday, the Edgewood High School Choral Department will present their Spring Concert! The show will be filled with choir performances, solos, and a lot more! Tickets are either $7 or $5, depending on location, and students may go for free with ID!
Superintendent’s Award winners for this year have been posted outside the office. To receive this award, you must have had no nine-week or first semester grade below an A-. If this is you, check to make sure your name is on the list posted outside the office. If your name should be on the list but is not, see Mrs. Waterford in the counseling office.

It’s time for our annual Poetry Underground event! Be entertained by our emcee, the magnificent Mr. Maguiness, as he reads some of his favorite poetry. Read your own poetry or someone else’s, or simply enjoy listening to others. This free event will take place on Wednesday, May 8, right after school until 4:00, in the Green Room underneath the auditorium stage. See flyers on the library doors for more details. Refreshments will be served, and everything is free. This event is only for EHS students.

Edgewood High School will be hosting the 2024 Physical Night for anyone interested in playing sports for the 2024-2025 school year on Monday, May 13th from 6:00 – 9:00 in the EHS Gymnasium. This will be for any student entering grades 6-12.
We are excited to expand our physicals night with more doctors and stations to help make this a smoother, more efficient process while also allowing you to select a time slot that will best fit your needs for the evening.
Here are a few items that are important to know before May 13th.
1) Registration – The cost of the physical is $25 and can be purchased through EventLink to complete your registration. We are only taking payment via EventLink for this event so paying ahead of time is important. Edgewood Physical

Select the “Physicals Night at Edgewood High School”.
2) Final Forms – We have partnered with Final Forms (see letter) to create a better system in handling athletic physicals and creating a student safety tool for our coaches, athletic trainers, and athletic administrators. For 2024-2025 school year and beyond all athletes will be required to have a Final Forms account.
So what do I need to do before the EHS Physicals Night?
– If you HAVE Final Forms, you should sign in and update your information for your athlete.
– If you DO NOT have Final Forms, follow the Parent Playbook to set up your account.
Please have this completed before you come in for our EHS Physical Night on May 13th!
