The EJHS student handbook states that once a student arrives at school he/she is to remain at school until the end of the school day. In case of illness, the student must report to the health office and the health aide will determine if the student meets the criteria to be sent home. The health aide will contact a parent if the student needs to leave school. If the student contacts a parent directly without seeing the health aide, the absence will be unexcused.
Please remember that Chromebooks are school property and writing and/or stickers should not be placed on them.
Last Saturday morning, the EJHS Colts cross country team journeyed to Franklin to compete for the first time in the Grizzly Invite. Fifteen teams showed up with a total of nearly 400 runners. The girls were led by Hannah Crain, finishing second overall. Ellie Vagedas earned a ribbon, finishing within the top 20 at 11th. Allison Bland, Nerissa Zelhof-Arriaga, and Sophia Mobley rounded out the top five, helping the ladies finish third overall. The boys had two top-20 finishers, with Davin Norris in 17th and A.J. Norris in 18th. Braiden McGinnis, Aiden Lee, and Hank Ripley all finished in the top 60, leading the team to a fifth-place finish. On Tuesday night the Colts hosted Cloverdale and the Project School. It was our first time running at home, and the runners did great. The boys and girls both won, and we took home 18 out of 20 ribbons. If you want to go check out the full results, you can find them at abtiming.com.
