RESULTS

Edgewood Winter Guard received 2nd place in their class on their first weekend out at the IHSCGA Greenwood Invitational! Great season opening and looking forward to a fantastic competition season in front of us!


Girls’ swimming finished the season with another spectacular meet.  The Edgewood Girls finished 5th overall in the Columbus North Sectional, moving up a spot from last year.
We had 7 top 8 (championship) finishes and 7 top 16 (consolation) finishes over the course of the entire meet, preliminaries and finals.  Including 4 new school records.  We couldn’t be happier or more proud of what all of these young ladies have accomplished this season.
  • 200 Medley Relay, Cora Emmons, Ellie Lewis, Ellie Vagedes, Maya Gill 5th place (new school record 1:58.33 set in prelims)
  • 200 Freestyle, Ellie Vagedes 2nd place (new school record 2:00.70)
  • 200 IM, Ellie Lewis 6th place
  • 50 Freestyle, Maya Gill 9th place, Jaelyn Woodcock 16th place
  • 1m Diving, Avery Dunham 7th place
  • 100 Butterfly, Ellie Vagedes 2nd place (new school record :59.55 set in prelims), Jaelyn Woodcock 15th place
  • 100 Freestyle, Maya Gill 6th place
  • 200 Freestyle Relay, Ellie Lewis, Jaelyn Woodcock, Maya Gille, Ellie Vagedes 4th place (new school record 1:47.09)
  • 100 Backstroke, Cora Emmons 10th, Cora Lewis 13th
  • 100 Breaststroke, Ellie Lewis 9th
It was one of the best season ending meets in Edgewood Swimming history.  Congratulations Ladies!!!

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Any student who is interested in joining the Unified Track team should fill out the form in the announcements. Practices for the team are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45-4:00. Practices will begin the Tuesday after Spring Break (3/25).  You must have a physical on file to participate.
Unified Track is an IHSAA-sanctioned varsity sport where general education and special education students compete side-by-side. Those participants who are a part of the sectional roster will receive a varsity letter. For more information, stop by Mr. Tucker’s room, E147.

Sophomores and Juniors who plan to attend Hoosier Hills Career Center next year:  Be sure to see the email Mr. Faust sent with information about the online application along with the link to the application.  You must submit the career center online application by February 12.  If you are a junior and currently attend the career center, you must also complete the application in order to attend again next year.

JAG CandyGrams for Sale

During lunch, JAG students will be selling personalized CandyGrams that will be delivered during the 5th period, next Thursday, 2/13.  You can send one to any student or staff member in the building!  Choose a Fun Dip w/message for $1 or give a Hug & Kiss with a message for $3.

If parents/guardians would like to send a Candygram to someone at EHS, they can use this form to order.  Payment information is explained in the form.

Come join the lacrosse team for winter conditioning on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8-9, beginning in the weight room. Email Coach Mary at mellis@rbbschools.net for more information, or join the Remind group by texting @edgewoodla to 81010.

The Softball team has started workouts on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30.  Meet in the balcony of the gym.  If you have any questions email Mr. Hammett.

STUDENT PARKING: Students park in the front parking lot. In order to drive to school students must fill out the PARKING PERMIT APPLICATION

You will then need to go to Mr. Latham in the front office with $1 and your driver’s license to get your parking permit. If you registered your vehicle previously, you do NOT need to get another permit.

 

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT/SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Students who would like to request to see their counselor should complete this Google form: Request to See Your Counselor. The form should only be completed using the student’s RBB email. Students may not request schedule changes based on teacher or period preference.
