RESULTS
Band: This weekend the band had 20 events qualify for ISSMA solo and ensemble on February 26th! Also the Winter percussion traveled to Northview and won their first contest of the season and first win in school history!!!
Wrestling: Cash Turner advanced to the state finals for the 2nd time in his career finishing 3rd at the Evansville Semi-State and picked up his 100th career win. He will wrestle next Friday and Saturday for a state championship. Colten Hubbell finished his senior season losing at semi-state in a very close match.
Choir: The Homestead Classic Showcase choir contest was the largest competition in the country on Saturday.
Sophisticated Ladies: 3rd runner up competing in the Large Unisex Division.
Music Warehouse: 2nd runner up competing in the Large Mixed Division.
Outstanding performers awarded: Winnie Sater (SL), Clint Shockney (MW).
Basketball: Boys JV/V Basketball fall to Orleans and Danville.

Seniors: The application for the Don and Bev Cowden Scholarship is now available. This is a $4,000 scholarship that will be awarded to one EHS senior. Mr. Faust emailed information and the application to all seniors last Wednesday. You can also pick up information and the application from Mrs. Waterford in the Guidance Office. Be sure to check your school email on a regular basis as more scholarship information is coming.

Speech Contest: The Bloomington Rotary Club is hosting a speech contest for high school students on February 26. The topic has to do with the Pandemic and how it applies to the Rotary Club’s Four-Way Test ethical guide. There is a $200 prize for the Bloomington winner and a chance to advance for a higher award. See the fliers outside your English classroom for more information, or see Mrs. Van Allen in the media center.

Tutoring: Edgewood’s Tutoring Site, sponsored by NHS, offers tutoring in Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Computer Science, and Choir. If you think it would be fun to be a part of a team where you learn about music, art, stories, poetry, history, science, and math, then Academic Super Bowl is for you. We’re currently recruiting team members–all are welcome. If interested, contact Mrs. Van Allen in the library or one of the following teachers: Mr. Walter, Mrs. Mathias, Mr. Axsiom, Mrs. Boivert-Storey, and Mr. Dodrill.
The Lacrosse Team will be indoors for winter practices, Tuesday in the Aux Gym and Wednesday in the Weight Room, from 7:30-8:30pm.
