Great job by the 8th grade football team last night as they moved in and finished off Brown County in the second half. Braxton Carpenter threw 2 touchdown passes, had 1 rushing touchdown, and a huge interception. Noah Cosby caught 2 passes. 1 for a touchdown, and 1 for a two-point conversion. Sam Lawson had 1 rushing touchdown.
Dylan Wickens had 1 reception for a touchdown. Lincoln Getts had 2 tackles for loss and forced an interception. Kellen Moore and a huge solo tackle on a kick-off that pinned Brown County deep in their own territory. Clark Riggs had a solo quarterback sack for a loss.
Evan Enghauser was a beast on the field. 4 solo tackles. 2 of them for loss. The offensive line gave up zero sacks. The final score between 7th and 8th was 40-0 Edgewood. Way to go boys. Awesome win. On to Clay County Thursday.
The 7th grade football team won their scrimmage. Conner Harden broke several tackles and ran in a 70 yard touchdown. Eli Stewart returned a punt for a 30 yard touchdown. Tobey Connors and Anthony Livingston both had several big hits to lead to the shutout. The Colts will play again this Thursday.
