One item is cornbread mix; they need 3,500 boxes of mix, and Edgewood has agreed to collect at least 500 boxes. We need everyone to help reach this goal by bringing in boxes and dropping them off outside the library by Wednesday, November 10!!

We will be hosting a Veteran’s Day program at 1:00pm on Friday, November 11th at the Edgewood High School Auditorium. ALL CALL for LIBRARY BOOKS! If you have checked out a library book and are finished with it, please return it to the library this week or as soon as possible. Thank you!

*There is a change to Student Driver Registration: All students who plan to drive to school must have a Parking Permit Registration on file with the school even if the car has been previously registered by another EHS student/sibling and already has a parking tag. Every car in the student parking lot must be registered to the current driver. Parents can find and fill out this form in Harmony Family Access with the registration paperwork. Any student who has already received a tag for a car registered to them after filling out the old Google Form, does not need to redo the form in Harmony.

  • Students who have registered as drivers in a previous year and have not changed vehicles are not required to register again.
  • After you have filled out the form in Harmony, bring your driver’s license and $1 cash to Mrs. Johnson in the school office ASAP to receive your sticker.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES

FFA: November Monthly FFA Meeting will be today either during Homeroom or right after school! Come to whichever suits your schedule best! Room E125 (Mrs. T Ferguson’s Room)

Media Center: This Wednesday is the party for frequent attenders of the Curious Wednesday program. Those who have attended at least two Curious Wednesday programs so far this year will get an invitation to come to the party. We will play card games and have a special treat to go with your own lunch you bring in. If you don’t get an invitation by Tuesday, and you’re sure you’ve come to at least two Wednesdays, please let Mrs. Van Allen know. Look for the next Curious Wednesday topic in announcements–all students are invited to the next one!

Book Club: All EHS students are welcome to read this month’s Book Club selection, Americanized: Rebel Without a Green Card, a nonfiction humorous memoir by author, Sara Saedi. This book is about a U.S. teenager who lives the typical teen life, but then finds out a family secret and lives in fear of deportation. Come by the media center to check out the book for our next Book Club meeting on November 21st.

The lacrosse team will have winter conditioning practices on Tuesday and Wednesdays, beginning at 6pm in the weight room.  Nothing is needed, just show up! Contact Coach Mary (mellis@rbbschools.net) for more info.

Interested in joining Leadership Academy and planning the All Nighter for this spring? Applications are in Miss Brookman’s classroom (E108) and will be due on November 4th. Leadership Academy is composed of student council members, SAAC members, and anyone else interested in joining. We will meet a few times throughout the year to develop leadership skills and discuss the needs of Edgewood High School.

If interested, contact Mrs. Van Allen in the library or one of the following teachers: Mr. Walter (math),  Mrs. Mathias (English), Mr. Axsiom (fine arts), Mrs. Boivert-Storey (science), and Mr. Winkler (social studies).
