RESULTS

Lady Mustangs finish 3rd place at WIC Golf. A little bit of a struggle but two of the girls had never seen the course. The course was extremely wet from the heavy rain the night before. Amara Hanson tied for 3rd overall and Ashton Sessions was 10th to earn all-conference. It was the second year in a row for Amara.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

There will be a callout meeting for the Edgewood FFA Chapter TOMORROW 8/29 during Homeroom or after school at 2:30pm! Come to whichever fits your schedule best to get information on what FFA is, how to join, and how much fun we have!

All are invited to join the Book Club this month. This month’s pick is The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. The main character, Avery, finds herself inheriting a fortune but has to solve dangerous riddles to keep it. This mystery is so popular that a new TV series is planned to come out soon. See Mrs. Van Allen in the library for details and to check out your copy. There is also a flier on the library bulletin board. First meeting will take place September 22.

LAST CALL-OUT MEETING FOR STUDENTS/PARENTS – COSTA RICA 2024

All students who are interested in traveling to Costa Rica in June 2024, please plan on attending a “Parent Meeting” on Wednesday, August 30th in the library at 7pm.  If you cannot make it, please email Mrs. Clay at bclay@rbbschools.net or Mrs. Boisvert-Storey at cboisvert@rbbschools.net

Tuesday, Sept 5th after school in the cafeteria the Edgewood bowling team will be holding a callout/informational meeting. All students of any skill level are welcome to learn more about joining the team.

Attention all Girl and Boy Swimmers and Divers!!  Coach Kohne is having a brief callout meeting immediately after school on Wednesday, August 30th in his classroom. We will be discussing preseason conditioning, team suits, gear, and the upcoming season.  ANYONE interested please come check it out. If you cannot attend, please stop by and see Coach Kohne.

If you are planning on playing boys basketball and you are not involved in a fall sport you need to be attending after-school weights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. These workouts begin at 2:45 and conclude at 4 pm.

Any boy who is in a fall sport and wants to try out for basketball needs to see Mr. Wadsworth in the cafeteria during lunch. He can give you information regarding equipment, tryouts, etc.

German Students: That time is upon us once again!  Twenty-two German students from Lingen will be spending two weeks at EHS from September 17th  – September 29th.  They will be attending classes at EHS and will be traveling to IU, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and southern Indiana.  This is a program unique to German here at Edgewood, and it is a great opportunity to get to know someone from another culture and possibly build a lifelong friendship.  We need host families to house a student for the time that they are here.  If interested, contact Mrs. Norris at anorris@rbbschools.net

Homecoming shirts will be sold in the commons at lunch from August 22nd-August 30th! The shirts will be $15 (cash or check) and will allow you to get into Class Clash on September 13th for free. You can also buy a shirt in Miss Brookman’s room (E108).”
