Senior girls going to Indiana State University: Be sure to see the email from Mr. Faust sent last night regarding the $500 Mirohim Saft Indiana State scholarship.
Junior Girls: Yesterday morning, Mr. Faust sent an email to all junior girls who rank in the upper half of the class with information about Hoosier Girls State which is a week-long summer program. If you are interested in learning about Girls State, be sure to see this email and reply if you wish to attend next week’s informational meeting.
Seniors with a Stinesville connection: The Stinesville High School Alumni Association will award two EHS seniors scholarships expected to be in the amount of $4,000 each. See this morning’s email from Mr. Faust for details and a link to the application. Deadline to apply is March 21.
Did you know that February is BLACK HISTORY MONTH? One way you can recognize this special month is by coming by the media center to see book displays and check out a book to read. You can also learn about some influential black authors on the bulletin board outside the library doors.
Seniors: You were emailed information about the Kiwanis Club Scholarships. Two area seniors who plan to attend college in Indiana will receive a $1,000 Kiwanis Scholarship. Information and a link to the online application were in yesterday’s email. You don’t have a lot of time to complete the application as it is due February 28, so if interested, be sure to look over the information and application right away.

Seniors: The application for the Don and Bev Cowden Scholarship is now available. This is a $4,000 scholarship that will be awarded to one EHS senior. Mr. Faust emailed information and the application to all seniors last Wednesday. You can also pick up information and the application from Mrs. Waterford in the Guidance Office. Be sure to check your school email on a regular basis as more scholarship information is coming.

Tutoring: Edgewood’s Tutoring Site, sponsored by NHS, offers tutoring in Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Computer Science, and Choir. Students will be able to simply submit their questions on a Google Form and NHS tutors will respond. The forms, along with more information, can be found at this link.

Academic Bowl: “Canada: Our Neighbor to the North” An interesting topic, eh? If you think it would be fun to be a part of a team where you learn about music, art, stories, poetry, history, science, and math, then Academic Super Bowl is for you. We’re currently recruiting team members–all are welcome. If interested, contact Mrs. Van Allen in the library or one of the following teachers: Mr. Walter, Mrs. Mathias, Mr. Axsiom, Mrs. Boivert-Storey, and Ms. Voorheis.
The Lacrosse Team will be indoors for winter practices, Tuesday in the Aux Gym and Wednesday in the Weight Room, from 7:30-8:30pm.
