The Greek Gala Prom Flyer

The Junior Class of Edgewood High School presents the “Greek Gala” and the “Athens After Prom!” 

We will be having an Early Bird prom ticket sale on February 15th and 16th in the commons at lunch. Please see the flyer for details

Any student who is interested in joining the Unified Track team should fill out the form in the announcements. Practices for the team are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45-4:00. Practices will begin the Tuesday after Spring Break (3/19).  You must have a physical on file to participate.
Unified Track is an IHSAA-sanctioned varsity sport where general education and special education students compete side-by-side. Those participants who are a part of the sectional roster will receive a varsity letter. For more information, stop by Mr. Tucker’s room, E147.

Any student interested in trying out for the 2024 – 2025 Cheer Squad, please complete the google form and we will send you all the information via email.  We will have a clinic begin Monday, March 4th , Wednesday, March 6th  from 5:30 – 7:00.  Then on Thursday, March 7th the tryout will begin at 6:30.

Students, we want to make sure your name is correct in the yearbook! Mock-up yearbook-album pages with names from Harmony are now on display in the FACS display case next to Mr. Whittemore’s room.  Please stop by to check your name before Friday, 2/9/24.  If it needs to be changed, please email Mr. Axsiom at raxsiom@rbbschools.net.
The 2024 All-Nighter is coming in just a few weeks on Friday, February 23rd! Sign up in the commons during lunches or with Ms. Brookman. You need to sign up THIS WEEK to be guaranteed a shirt for this year!
The BOOK CLUB theme for February is “Book to Screen.” Any EHS student may read either The Hobbit (by J. R. R. Tolkien) or A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder (by Holly Jackson). They both have been adapted into a movie or TV series. You pick the one you want to read! We will discuss the books at the end of the month during PlusTime. Come to the EHS library to check out your copy today!
If you’re interested in learning about some historical topics from the 1980’s and ’90’s  like the Cold War era, the oil crisis, immigration reform issues, a scandal in the White House, and more…You should be on the social studies Academic Super Bowl team. See Mr. Winkler or Mrs. Van Allen today to find out how you can be on the team.
Anyone interested in running track needs to stop by and see Coach Walter.  Official Practice starts next week, Monday February 12!

The Bloomington Rotary Club has announced its annual speech contest details. Any EHS student may enter the contest. You will give a 4 to 6 minute speech on the topic: “Create Hope in the World Beginning with Yourself.” If you would like more information about the contest, please see Mrs. Van Allen in the library by the end of the day this Friday. Prizes for winners are $100 for Bloomington area and $1000 for a Rotary district level.

JAG CandyGrams for Sale

This week during lunch, JAG students will be selling personalized CandyGrams that will be delivered during 5th period on Valentine’s Day.  Send to any student or staff member in the building!  Your choice of Ring Pop or Fun Dip w/message for $1 or get a gift box of assorted candy w/message for $3.

Mustangs, please help us make your El Corral yearbook the best that it can be.  Do you have pictures of Edgewood students doing amazing things? Do you know of classroom lessons, student activities, or just interesting Mustang happenings that we should feature in the yearbook? Do you know of a student or teacher with a special story we should cover? You can send your pictures or tips to Mr. Axsiom, the El Corral adviser, at raxsiom@rbbschools.net.

Any Edgewood athletes not currently involved in a currently active sport – the weight room is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after school until 4pm!

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT/SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Students who would like to request to see their counselor should complete this Google form: Request to See Your Counselor. The form should only be completed using the student’s RBB email. Students may not request schedule changes based on teacher or period preference.
