RBB has partnered with Big Smiles to offer in-school dental care. In most cases there is no cost to to students insured with Medicaid or CHIP! Private insurance and affordable self-pay options are also available. Please follow this link for more details from our school nurse, Debbie Day.

Seniors: This is the last week to stop by Mrs. Shockney’s desk to check your name for your diploma.  Diplomas will be printed according to the school database unless you let us know that you would like it changed (i.e middle name updated/added etc.).

Students who have Chromebook issues should email RBB tech support at itsupport@rbbschools.net.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES

Next week there will be two Ted Talks offered. First, Amanda Gorman — the youngest inaugural poet in US history — will discuss why poetry is for everyone, not just for elitists. Poetry is for everyone, she says, and at its core it’s all about connection and collaboration. In this fierce talk and performance, she explains why poetry is inherently political, pays homage to her honorary ancestors and stresses the value of speaking out despite your fears. Next, Michelle Obama will speak about the importance of education and the incredible places it can take you. She states, “by getting a good education, you too can control your own destiny. If you want to know the reason why I’m standing here, it’s because of education.”

Girls tennis conditioning will begin next week from 3:30 PM -5:00 PM at the tennis courts. Conditioning will be every Tuesday and Thursday. Please fill out this google form or see Miss Brookman if you plan on joining the team!

Lacrosse practices have started on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5:30 PM -7:00 PM. If interested in joining, meet at the football field at 5:30 PM for workouts. Practices will be outside, so please dress accordingly (sweatshirts, sweatpants, hats, gloves, etc). No prior knowledge of the sport is necessary. Come check out a new sport! Contact Coach Mary (edgewoodhslax@gmail.com) with any questions or concerns.

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT

Students, be sure to check your school email on a regular basis.  A number of emails may be coming from the Guidance Office regarding various things such as next year’s classes, college information, college financial aid and scholarship information.  In particular, seniors will be getting a fair amount of information regarding college scholarships.  If you do not check your email, you will miss important information.

Students who would like to request to see their counselor, should complete this Google form: Request to See Your Counselor. The form should only be completed using the student’s RBB email.
