Softball: The Lady Mustangs won their first game! After jumping out to a quick start and taking a 5 run lead after the first inning the North Cougars came charging back and matched the Mustangs the next few innings before the pitchers tightened up with the Lady Mustangs a 12-11 lead going into the 7th inning. The Cougars scored 1 in the top of 7th to tie. The Lady Mustangs were able to get bases loaded with 2 outs with strong hitter Cortney Hamilton. The North pitcher uncorked a wild pitch to allow pitch runner Addison Yearby to scamper home with the winning run.
Having 4 hits each were Meleah Vest and Ally Bland.
3 hits each was Cortney Hamilton.
2 hits each were Madi Bland, Piper Stephens, Ella Sproul
Alayna Flynn Had 1 hit but reached 3 other times by walks.
Jaylen Robinson was our winning pitcher.
The Lady Mustangs are back in action on Thursday at home against Eastern at 5:30.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Football Meeting: Are you interested in the ultimate team sport? A sport where every position has a purpose and every individual needs to fulfill their responsibility for a play to be successful? 11 moving parts in 3 different phases, that have to work together in order to get the job done–a skill that is valuable in sports, in the workplace and in your family life? Then come to the cafeteria Friday morning during homeroom and meet Coach Fischer where he will talk to you about the football program. Hoosier Hill Students can attend the meeting and then will be transported over to class. Donuts and Milk will be provided.
Curious Wednesday: This week’s Curious Wednesday topic is Part 2 of Local Trails and Indiana State Parks. We had fun learning about some local outdoor destinations for our Part 1 video. Now some teachers have even more ideas for you. Come join us Wednesday at lunch in the library!
Cheer: Any student interested in trying out for the 2023 – 2024 Cheer Squad, please complete the google form and we will send you all the information via email. We will have a clinic begin Monday, March 27th and Wednesday, March 29th from 5:30 – 7:00. Then on Friday, March 31st the tryout will begin at 6:00. FILL OUT IN GOOGLE FORMS
Writing Club: The Writing Club will meet Fridays after school in the library until 3:15. All are welcome!
