Lacrosse: In an all out battle, with contributions from every single player on the team, Edgewood beat North 7-6. Rhys Piovesan led the offense with 4 goals and an assist. Greg Pate scored a hat trick and Connor Bolin contributed an assist. Stan Oliver also had an assist and won a decisive 77% of his match ups at the face-off stripe. The defense, led by Dane Summitt, played a tight game and seriously limited North’s shot opportunities. Josh Lovelace, Nathan Hixson and Dani Hussain all came up with big defensive blocks. In the goal, Eli Staggs put up an incredible 73% save rate.
Softball: The Lady Mustangs got off to a rocky start against Greencastle but had a strong finish to squeak out a 8-7 victory. Meleah Vest 2 run homer in the bottom of 4th put the Ladies over the top. Jaylen Robinson came in relief and pitched the last 4 innings to pick up the win.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Graduation Caps and Gowns will be handed out tomorrow during lunch in the commons. If you are virtual, please come to pick yours up tomorrow between 10:45 and 12:55.
Class Clash: Good news! Class class is happening next Wednesday on the 11th at 5PM in the main gym. Admission will be free. Class clash is where classes compete in different activities, and the class with the most points by the end of the night is the reigning champion of the classes. The activities are Men’s Volleyball, Egg Toss, Pizza Eating, Dizzy Bat, Powder Puff (girl’s football), and Tug of War. Men’s Volleyball, Tug of war, and Powder Puff will be held as a tournament. The seniors will play the freshman and the juniors will play the sophomores first. Then the winner of those games will play each other. Egg Toss, Dizzy Bat, and Pizza Eating will be all classes competing at once against each other. Be sure to check out the form on the announcements to sign up!

Seniors: If you are on track to receive the Academic Honors Diploma or Technical Honors Diploma you will be recognized for this at Honors Night, Wednesday, May 18th. A list of those on track for the Honors Diploma is posted outside the office and across from the cafeteria. Be sure to check this list to make sure you are included. NHS is organizing the first annual Hoops Against Hunger event on May 14th, a 3v3 basketball tournament with all proceeds going to benefit Pantry 279 in Ellettsville. We are looking for some high schoolers to field teams. $10 a person, up to 5 people per team. Sign-up sheet in the announcements, sign-up only one time for each team. Hope you all can join us! Student athletic physicals will be given at Edgewood High School in the gym on Wednesday, May 11th, from 6 – 8:30 pm. The cost will be $25. We encourage any student who may be interested in participating on any athletic team for the 2022-2023 school year to take advantage of this evening. Students MUST have a physical on file before trying out for any sport.

The Superintendent’s Award will be presented to any student who, for the first three nine-week grading periods, had no nine-week grade below an A minus and, for first semester, had no semester grade below an A minus. A list of recipients is posted outside the office and across from the cafeteria. If you have had all A minuses or higher this year, check to see if you are on the list. If you are not on the list but should be, see Mrs. Waterford in the Guidance Office.
Please return all library books that are overdue. Soon bills will be sent to parents for outstanding library book fees. So dig up those overdue books and bring them into the library or put them in the book drop in the commons.

Tutoring: Edgewood’s Tutoring Site, sponsored by NHS, offers tutoring in Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Computer Science, and Choir. Students will be able to simply submit their questions on a Google Form and NHS tutors will respond. The forms, along with more information, can be found at this link.
MCPL Math Homework Help For Teens: The Monroe County Public Library Downtown Branch offers free homework help on Mondays from 7-8:30 PM. See the flyer for more details.
Student Drivers: All students who plan to drive to school must have a completed Parking Permit
- Students who have registered as drivers in a previous year and have not changed vehicles are not required to register again.
- After you have filled out the form, bring your driver’s license and $1 cash to Mrs. Johnson in the school office ASAP to receive your sticker.

IU Game Development Camp: Do you like playing video games? Have you ever thought about making your own game? If so, the Indiana University Game Development Camp is for you! Election Staff: We are currently seeking polling site staff for the upcoming Election. Job Descriptions include:
JUDGE is the Inspector’s right hand person, previous working knowledge of poll location recommended but not required
CLERKS greet the voters, checking IDs and hand out ballots
Election Day shift is from about 5 am until about 7:30 pm
Additionally, the Inspector will ask for about an hour of your time on the Monday night before to help set things up, understand the layout of the polling site and have a sort of meet and greet. One training session is mandatory, even if you have filled one of these roles in the past.
You MUST be registered to vote in Monroe County or Students age 16 and 17 are allowed to fill the Clerk position, with written approval from their school’s guidance office.
