The Lady Mustang softball team played their most complete game of the year dismantling the Northview squad by a score of 13-2.  Alaina Winzeler had 4 hits and 5 RBIs.  Having 3 hits each were Alayna Flynn, Meleah Vest and Piper Stephens.  Meleah had 3 RBIs to go along with her hits.  2 hits each by: Kaylee Hawkins, Chloe Helms and Candace Rosemeier.  Jaylen Robinson picked up her second win in as many nights with a strong performance.

Graduation Caps and Gowns will be handed out TODAY during lunch in the commons. If you are virtual, please come to pick yours up between 10:45 and 12:55.

Class Clash: Get ready for Class Clash! Wednesday, May 11th from 5-7:20, Student Council is hosting a competition between the classes. Admission will be free. Class clash is where classes compete in different activities, and the class with the most points by the end of the night is the reigning champion of the classes. The activities are Men’s Volleyball, Egg Toss, Pizza Eating, Dizzy Bat, Powder Puff (girl’s football), and Tug of War.  If you would like to partake in the festivities please select your class’s link and submit your request. You must be signed in with your school account to sign up. Please make sure to not choose more than two events as we want all who wish to participate to have a chance. If you have any questions please reach out to a member of Student Council, Mrs. Boisvert-Storey, or Miss Brookman. We hope to see you then!

Seniors: Please check your email for a google form and submit any pictures or videos from sports or activities this year that you want to be included in the senior video. We would like these by May 13th.

Seniors:  If you are on track to receive the Academic Honors Diploma or Technical Honors Diploma you will be recognized for this at Honors Night, Wednesday, May 18th.  A list of those on track for the Honors Diploma is posted outside the office and across from the cafeteria.  Be sure to check this list to make sure you are included.  If you are not listed but should be, see Mrs. Waterford in guidance.

NHS is organizing the first annual Hoops Against Hunger event on May 14th, a 3v3 basketball tournament with all proceeds going to benefit Pantry 279 in Ellettsville. We are looking for some high schoolers to field teams. $10 a person, up to 5 people per team. Sign-up sheet in the announcements, sign-up only one time for each team. Hope you all can join us! Student athletic physicals will be given at Edgewood High School in the gym on Wednesday, May 11th, from 6 – 8:30 pm. The cost will be $25. We encourage any student who may be interested in participating on any athletic team for the 2022-2023 school year to take advantage of this evening. Students MUST have a physical on file before trying out for any sport.

Senior Yard Signs:  Kirkwood is still offering yard signs for students.  No minimum purchase, they are $25.00 each. Visit kirkwoodphoto.com, choose your picture from the school gallery, and click “Visit Shop.”

Seniors:  If you are receiving a college scholarship, be sure to see Mr. Faust’s email, which explains what you need to do in order for us to recognize you for your scholarship at Honors Night. Form here.

The Superintendent’s Award will be presented to any student who, for the first three nine-week grading periods, had no nine-week grade below an A minus and, for first semester, had no semester grade below an A minus.  A list of recipients is posted outside the office and across from the cafeteria.  If you have had all A minuses or higher this year, check to see if you are on the list.  If you are not on the list but should be, see Mrs. Waterford in the Guidance Office.

Summer School Registration

Please return all library books that are overdue. Soon bills will be sent to parents for outstanding library book fees. So dig up those overdue books and bring them into the library or put them in the book drop in the commons.

Tutoring: Edgewood’s Tutoring Site, sponsored by NHS, offers tutoring in Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Computer Science, and Choir. Students will be able to simply submit their questions on a Google Form and NHS tutors will respond. The forms, along with more information, can be found at this link.

MCPL Math Homework Help For Teens: The Monroe County Public Library Downtown Branch offers free homework help on Mondays from 7-8:30 PM. See the flyer for more details.

Student Drivers: All students who plan to drive to school must have a completed Parking Permit Registration on file with the school even if the car has been previously registered by another EHS student/sibling and already has a parking tag. Every car in the student parking lot must be registered to the current driver.

  • Students who have registered as drivers in a previous year and have not changed vehicles are not required to register again.
  • After you have filled out the form, bring your driver’s license and $1 cash to Mrs. Johnson in the school office ASAP to receive your sticker.

IU Game Development Camp: Do you like playing video games? Have you ever thought about making your own game? If so, the Indiana University Game Development Camp is for you!
