RESULTS

Boys soccer federated Northview last night in another close one that resulted in a PK shootout. After being down 2-0 early in the game the mustangs fought back into the game followed by goals by Will Lawson and Jackson Huber. In the second round of PK’s Ean Connors scored to put the mustangs ahead and Roman Wagner made a game ending save to finally seal the win! Go Mustangs!

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Attention Juniors and Seniors – You are invited to apply to the E-LOTS program. E-LOTS stands for the Edgewood Leadership Opportunities Through Service program.

The 5th graders at EIS will head to JA Biztown in December and Bradford Woods to camp for three days and two nights in May, and would love to see you join them there!  As an E-LOTS Junior or Senior, you will lead, oversee, or participate in all of the Cabin and Trail Groups activities. From the night hikes to the weather reports, participating in this program will be unforgettable for you, and each of our 5th graders.

Applications are available now. If interested, come pick up an application packet from Mrs. Stevens’ desk in the front office.

You can contact Mrs. Barrett with any questions by emailing jlee@rbbschools.net. Applications are due back by Monday, September 25th.

Curious Wednesday: Iceland  Join us in the library this Wednesday at lunch to hear Mrs. Van Allen talk about traveling to Iceland. She will show lots of pictures and talk about how you can plan a trip to Iceland someday.

Anyone interested in playing for the girl’s softball team in the Spring, there will be workouts starting this Thursday at the field after school. Stop by Mr. Hammett’s classroom at lunch for more information. Room 133.

All are invited to join the Book Club this month. This month’s pick is The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. The main character, Avery, finds herself inheriting a fortune but has to solve dangerous riddles to keep it. This mystery is so popular that a new TV series is planned to come out soon. See Mrs. Van Allen in the library for details and to check out your copy. There is also a flier on the library bulletin board. First meeting will take place September 22.

The Monroe County College Fair will take place Thursday, October 5 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Switchyard Park Pavilion in Bloomington.  See the email from Mr. Faust for more information.
