We are proud to announce that we have two winning artists for the Hoosier Hills Food Bank Calendar Art Contest. Art Club members Zoe Ponto, grade 6, and Laura Chupp, grade 7, had their Fighting Hunger designs selected for print in the 2025 calendar. They were also awarded t-shirts. Congratulations!

Are you interested in Making A Change? The Change Wars have begun! The Change Wars raise money for families with children in Riley’s Children’s Hospital.  They are going from Today, December 2nd, until Friday, December 13th. You have 2 weeks to raise the money. Coins and dollars will be accepted. Try and win a great prize for your homeroom by raising the most money! This would be greatly appreciated for people with these issues so please help.

The EJHS Push-Pull Meet is this Friday. Lifting will begin at 4 pm in the Main Gym.

Go to the Library during Regulation Break each Friday for a group photo and see Ms. Edgeman by lunchtime to be judged! The winner gets a free ticket to any home game!!

Robotics Schedule:
Monday: practice until 4 pm.
Tuesday: no practice
Wednesday: practice until 5 pm (If Sydney is available until 4)
Thursday: practice until 5 pm
Friday: practice until 5 pm
Saturday: practice from 10 am until noon
As a reminder, parents must pick up robotics participants from door 9 in the back of the building.

Wrestling Tryouts: Tryouts are this week from 2:30-4 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. See Coach Sparks for more details.

6th Grade Boys’ Basketball Information:
Monday, 12/9: 2:30-4:00 pm – Tryouts
Tuesday, 12/10: 2:30-4:00 pm – Tryouts

All students wanting to try out need to fill out the following Googe form for our evaluation sheet.  You need to be on this to stay for tryouts.  This ensures we have groups set up, stations ready, the evaluation sheet, and parents know you are staying for pick up.  You must sign up by Friday 12/6.:  Boys 6th Grade Basketball Tryouts 2024-25.

Fishing Team Call Out: Mark your calendars for Edgewood’s Fishing Team call-out meeting on December 16th at 6 pm in the High School cafeteria. Any 7th and 8th grader interested in fishing should attend and see what it’s about. Contact Brian Mobley at 812.325.3046 if you have any questions or cannot attend.

Edgewood CrossFit: We will meet every Monday and Wednesday from 2:30 – 4 pm in the EJHS weight room. Any students interested in joining must fill out the interest form sent via email. Daily attendance check-in will be required. Classes will be capped at 16 each day. For more information, visit Coach Randi or Mr. Sparks in the weight room.

The Edgewood Basketball Fall Fan Shop is open! Order your Edgewood Basketball gear and be ready for all your winter games! Kid and adult sizes are available. Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athlete prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. FinalForms: All physicals are now completed through FinalForms. All athletes MUST be registered on FinalForms. Register HERE

Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete will be required to pay a $35 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink HERE.

Event Tickets: We are cashless. We will have a card reader for bank and credit cards at the gate. Or you can pre-purchase tickets on Eventlink HERE.

  • Gate Ticket Prices: $5 per person. plus .85 cent fee
  • EJHS All Sports Season Passes: Each pass is good for admission to all home EJHS athletic events excluding County and WIC tournaments. Non-Transferable – Edgewood High School events are not covered by this pass.

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT

Students who would like to request to see their counselor should complete this Google form: EJHS Counselor Sign up. The form should only be completed using the student’s RBB email.

Attention Students!
Have you had a rough start to your morning and forgot to brush your teeth or put on deodorant? From today on, if you find yourself in this situation you complete our Colts Care Closet form online and your EJHS Student Services providers will help you get those needs met. We have new hygiene products, new or gently used clothing, and more available for your personal use. You will find the link to the Colts Care form in your email, on the counselor sign-up form, and in your student bookmarks. We look forward to providing this support to you and want to thank everyone who has donated to this cause!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Bullying Report Form: Students can find a link to this form on their Chromebooks in their “Student Bookmarks”. Parents can use this LINK to complete the form as well. For additional information about IDOE Student Safety/Bullying Reporting feel free to visit the following site.

Not Feeling Well: Students, if you’re not feeling well, report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.

Student Photographs, Videos, and/or Sound Recordings Opt-Out:  Last year we moved to students having to OPT OUT of having their photo taken. This means all students are allowed to have their photo taken unless their parent/guardian fills out the attached form and brings it back to the office.

Chromebooks/Chargers: If you have any issues or damage to your Chromebook please see Ms. Edgeman in the Media Center. See Ms. Edgeman if you need to purchase a new charger.

Pizza X POP Tabs: Love Pizza X? Love EJHS? Eat pizza from Pizza X and save the Proof-Of-Purchase (POP) tabs from the pizza boxes. Ask your friends and family to save them as well. Each Proof-Of-Purchase tab is worth 25 cents.
