Congratulations to Ava Ely and Cairo Beyers! Their combined score of 204 in autonomous and driving skills at the Tampa Bay Remote Skills Robotics Championship last weekend was good enough to earn them a spot in the Indiana state robotics tournament on March 6th. They are currently ranked 14th in the state of Indiana and 61st out of all of the teams in the United States. Way to go, Ava and Cairo! We are proud of you!

Our EJHS swimmers and divers had a fantastic meet against Tri-North last night. Despite only having one practice in the last 10 days, everyone performed great. We had a lot of personal bests!! The girls’ team secured a close victory over Tri-North 93 to 91; whereas even though the boys lost 115 to 47 they all had outstanding performances. We couldn’t be more proud of our athletes!

The 7th-grade and 8th-grade girls’ basketball teams were both victorious against rival Owen Valley last night. The 7th-grade Lady Colts are now 5-1, winning 26-12. Leading scorer Madison Bland had 10 points, Macey Crider had 5 points, and Kaitlyn Wright scored 4 points. The 8th-grade Lady Colts are now 3-2 winning 21-12. Leading scorer Makalynn Roofe had 17 points and Olivia Burress had 4 points. Both teams play at Tri-North tonight. Good luck ladies!
There will be a basketball skills development workout for junior high boys on March 1st, 9th, and 11th, from 5 to 6:15 pm in the EJHS gym. All athletes must have a physical on file in the office to participate. Email Coach Moorhead (bmoorhead@rbbschools.net) with any questions.
