RESULTS

The 7th-grade girls’ basketball team beat Bloomfield 24-19, and the 8th-grade girls’ basketball team beat Bloomfield 20-9.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

7th & 8th Grade Baking Club will meet this week. There is no Baking Club next week (1/20 & 1/23).

CALLING ALL 8th GRADERS! You should have received an important email with a Google form link to choose this year’s 8th grade superlatives for the 24-25 yearbook. Filling out the form will help us choose who will win things like most athletic, best dressed, and more. So check your email and fill out this form by January 14, and make your vote count!

The Edgewood Junior High School Student Council is an extracurricular organization that promotes student togetherness, school spirit, community awareness, charitable activity, and leadership. We welcome all qualified 6th grade students to apply for Student Council by clicking on this link and following the listed instructions. All applications are due by Friday, January 17. Our first meeting with 6th grade students will take place on Wednesday, January 22.

All students are invited to use their Flex to take part in this month’s career panel! This month we will focus on the career field of Agriculture. Sign up for Thursday’s panel to hear from current EHS students about their agriculture career plans and high school experiences. Sign up again for Friday’s event to hear directly from adults working in the field of agriculture. See you there!

STUDENT ACTIVITIES

We’re excited to announce the launch of a brand-new group: Bring Change to Mind! Join us for our call-out meeting on January 21st at 2:30 PM in the library.
This group is dedicated to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and supporting mental health through education, conversation, and community-building.
We invite all who are interested to attend and be part of this important initiative. Whether you’re new to the cause or just looking to get involved, everyone is welcome!

Edgewood CrossFit will meet every Monday and Wednesday from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the EJHS weight room. All students are welcome to join us in growing stronger and learning new athletic skills. ATHLETICS INFORMATION

Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athlete prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. FinalForms: All physicals are now completed through FinalForms. All athletes MUST be registered on FinalForms. Register HERE

Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete will be required to pay a $35 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink HERE.

Event Tickets: We are cashless. We will have a card reader for bank and credit cards at the gate. Or you can pre-purchase tickets on Eventlink HERE.

  • Gate Ticket Prices: $5 per person. plus .85 cent fee
  • EJHS All Sports Season Passes: Each pass is good for admission to all home EJHS athletic events excluding County and WIC tournaments. Non-Transferable – Edgewood High School events are not covered by this pass.

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT

Students who would like to request to see their counselor should complete this Google form: EJHS Counselor Sign up. The form should only be completed using the student’s RBB email.

Attention Students!
Have you had a rough start to your morning and forgot to brush your teeth or put on deodorant? From today on, if you find yourself in this situation you complete our Colts Care Closet form online and your EJHS Student Services providers will help you get those needs met. We have new hygiene products, new or gently used clothing, and more available for your personal use. You will find the link to the Colts Care form in your email, on the counselor sign-up form, and in your student bookmarks. We look forward to providing this support to you and want to thank everyone who has donated to this cause!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Bullying Report Form: Students can find a link to this form on their Chromebooks in their “Student Bookmarks”. Parents can use this LINK to complete the form as well. For additional information about IDOE Student Safety/Bullying Reporting feel free to visit the following site.

Not Feeling Well: Students, if you’re not feeling well, report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.

Student Photographs, Videos, and/or Sound Recordings Opt-Out:  Last year we moved to students having to OPT OUT of having their photo taken. This means all students are allowed to have their photo taken unless their parent/guardian fills out the attached form and brings it back to the office.

Chromebooks/Chargers: If you have any issues or damage to your Chromebook please see Ms. Edgeman in the Media Center. See Ms. Edgeman if you need to purchase a new charger.

Pizza X POP Tabs: Love Pizza X? Love EJHS? Eat pizza from Pizza X and save the Proof-Of-Purchase (POP) tabs from the pizza boxes. Ask your friends and family to save them as well. Each Proof-Of-Purchase tab is worth 25 cents.
