Track practice every day from 2:45-4 pm. Please meet the coaches in the gym after school. The Parent information meeting will be Thursday at 4 pm in the cafeteria.
Congratulations to the Edgewood Winter Guard who qualified and competed in the Indiana State Color Guard Finals over break and placed 9th in their class. Their class started with 61 groups at the beginning of the season. EJHS members included Chloe Chambers, Kahlan Hoard, Frankie Allen, and Dillon Laster.
The guard will be hosting a Guard and Dance clinic for students K-12 on Saturday, April 8 at EHS from 10:30 am-1 pm. There will be a performance at 12:30 pm in the EHS Gym for the different age groups with flag and dance. The Winter Guard along with the new JH Guard will also perform. Interested students can pick up a clinic form in the EJHS Band Hall. Forms and money can be turned in to the front office or to Mr. Koehler in the band room. If turned in by Friday, March 24, a shirt will be given out at the clinic. Registration after March 24 is good, but a shirt on the day of the clinic is not guaranteed. The Edgewood Indoor Percussion competed the first weekend of spring break at the Center Grove contest, placing 1st out of eleven groups. Last Saturday, the group qualified for the Indiana Percussion State Finals, placing 2nd at the State Preliminaries. They will compete on April 1 at the Hulman Center on the campus of Indiana State University in Terre Haute. EJHS members include Carly Beatty, DJ Brown, Every Lauderbaugh, Kylie Miller, Jack Oldham, Finn Panagopoulos, and Ben Welch.
Girl’s tennis practice starts this week, meet at the tennis courts from 5:15p – 6:45p. Dress appropriately for the weather and bring a tennis racquet and water. All ladies in grades 6-8 are invited to join the EJHS Girls Tennis Team; we welcome all ability levels! You will learn the fundamentals of tennis, stay fit, and most importantly, have fun with your team! If you are interested, please fill out the linked form in the announcements so Coach has your information.
Anyone trying out for softball this week needs to make sure they have filled out the google form, have a physical on file, and plan on staying after school today and Wednesday until 4:15. Plan for outdoors and/or indoors. Please pay close attention to the announcements. If needed, the make-up day will be on Thursday. See Coach Ayer in room 208 for any questions.
8th-grade students and parents: Please submit two photos for use in the end-of-the-year memory slideshow to be shown at EJHS Honors and Awards Day. ALL students will be represented. One image should be a current photo of you–school-related if possible, but not your school yearbook portrait. The other should be from when you were young.
