The Academic Super Bowl teams competed at Central Middle School last Saturday. The math, science, and interdisciplinary teams placed 2nd in the area competition. The social studies and English teams placed 1st. Scores across the state were compared, and both the social studies and English teams placed 7th in the state. Fantastic job, teams! Your coaches and school are proud of your hard work. The academic teams will have a celebration next Tuesday, May 9th, after school from 2:30 to 3:15 in Mrs. Erickson’s room. Please wear your competition shirt for a picture that day.

FinalForms
This last summer we partnered with Final Forms (see letter) to create a better system for handling athletic physicals and creating a student safety tool for our coaches, athletic trainers, and athletic administrators. For 2023-2024 all athletes will be required to have a Final Forms account. This replaces the need for you to fill out a physical on paper as the pre-physical checklist can be completed online with an autofill for information based on your responses. As well as all other required consent forms.
So what do I need to do before the EHS Physicals Night?
– If you HAVE Final Forms, you should sign in and update your information for your athlete.
– If you DO NOT have Final Forms, follow the Parent Playbook to set up your account.
Please have this completed before you come in for our EHS Physical Night on May 10th! Or whenever you have a completed physical for the 2023-2024 school year.
On May 19th from 4-6 pm, EJHS is hosting a powerlifting meet. The event is free, and all people in EJHS can join. Those who are interested in playing football or wrestling should attend, but the event is open to all students. There will also be at least two extra guest lifters, Mr. Sparks and Mr. Siegelin. Come on out and see who is the strongest!!!
Save the date for our spring 2023 EJHS STEAM Showcase! The evening will feature band concerts, an art show, an EdgeMedia viewing party, interactive student projects, displays and games, robotics demos, an EdgeShop sale, and even a life-sized cell model to walk through! Mark your calendars for May 23 from 6-8:30 pm. Hope to see you then!
The B&G’s Club will be closed the week of May 22nd-26th. Please make after-school arrangements in advance.
Students if you’re not feeling well report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.
