Students needing to make up either section of iReady will be pulled from class this week to complete that assessment. This will take place in the library. Please listen to the overhead announcements for your name. Teachers can view the list of students needing to test through the Testing Room Google spreadsheet.
Do you like to sing, act, or dance? Auditions for the Theater Club’s musical are December 5th-7th after school until 4:00 pm. Students who are interested in being in the video game-themed musical called “Press Start” can sign up for auditions using the following form. Even students who have never been to Theater club can audition. Rehearsals and the show will take place after Winter Break. Major Saver – Small Card, BIG Results
2023 Richland-Bean Blossom Major Saver Campaign. The Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Foundation is once again offering Major Saver cards for sale through the Richland-Bean Blossom elementary and junior high schools. Students received the sales packets on Tuesday, November 28th. Students will be selling the $15 discount cards until Monday, December 11th. Major Saver cards can be purchased online at www.majorsaver.com. The sale can be credited back to a particular student. All cards purchased online will be mailed directly to the customer. Prizes and credit to the student will be given by the end of the campaign. Proceeds from the sale of Major Saver cards directly support the participating schools and the activities of the Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Foundation.
Kirkwood Yearbook Pictures: Picture Retakes are now available.
Please use the link below to access your picture. You will use your student’s ID number at the passcode to access your student’s picture. This number can be found on your Family Harmony Account. Scroll to the bottom of the page where it says “Schedule,” the number will be on the right side (Student ID). Now that fall sports and some fun events have passed, our EJHS yearbook editors are requesting your help. Please submit action photos of sports, clubs, field trips, the Glow Dance, or PumpkinFest for possible use in the 2024 yearbook by uploading jpg images to Jostens from a phone or a computer. Pizza X POP Tabs: Love Pizza X? Love EJHS? Eat pizza from Pizza X and save the Proof-Of-Purchase (POP) tabs from the pizza boxes. Ask your friends and family to save them as well. Each Proof-Of-Purchase tab is worth 25 cents.
Not Feeling Well: Students if you’re not feeling well report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES
There is no Design Lab Club today.
Wrestling: For those who are planning on wrestling this year, practices have started. They will run Monday through Friday from 2:30-4:30. All athletes must have a physical on file. See Coach Sparks for any questions.
7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball: The last open gym is tonight from 2:30-4 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. Tryouts will be held on December 4th and 5th from 4-5:30 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. You must have an athletic physical form on file and in FinalForms dated after April 1, 2023, in order to participate.
6th Grade Boys’ Basketball: Tryouts will be held on December 4th and 5th from 2:30 – 4:30 pm in the Main Gym. You must have an athletic physical form on file and in FinalForms dated after April 1, 2023, in order to participate.

Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athletes prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. FinalForms: All physicals are now completed through FinalForms. All athletes MUST be registered on FinalForms. Register HERE
Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete will be required to pay a $30 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink. Under contact information, please enter your athlete’s name and the sport you are paying for. for example “John Doe – Cross Country.” If you are paying for more than one athlete, please purchase them separately.
Event Tickets: We are cashless. We will have a card reader for bank and credit cards at the gate. Or you can pre-purchase tickets on Eventlink HERE.
- Gate Ticket Prices: $5 per person
- EJHS All Sports Season Passes: Each pass is good for admission to all home EJHS athletic events excluding County and WIC tournaments. Non-Transferable – Edgewood High School events are not covered by this pass.

Chromebooks/Chargers: If you are a student and do not have a Chromebook, please visit Ms. Edgeman in the Media Center. Any issues, repairs, etc. also need to go to the Media Center. Due to the high demand and lack of supply, we will no longer be able to provide students with a loaner charger during school hours.
