Barley’s Birthday: Yesterday was our Therapy Dog in Training, Barley’s, 1st birthday!
For those interested, join Mrs. Straw by the baseball field on the North side of the building during regulation break for a birthday celebration and picture opportunity.

Colts Chronicles: It is officially spooky season, and Colts Chronicles is celebrating with some spooky competitions! Colts Chronicles is hosting a scary story contest and a virtual Halloween Costume contest. Go to coltschronicles.com for competition details. Scary stories and costume pictures must be submitted by October 23rd. Winners of both competitions will get candy.

EJHS GLOW PARTY – The GLOW PARTY is today after school until 5 pm. Pre-purchased tickets can be picked up early during lunch. You can purchase a ticket with cash at the door it will be $7. Listen for dismissal instructions at the end of the day. Pick-up will be in the north parking lot by the baseball field and will follow the same after-school pick-up procedures.

PUMPKINFEST – Pumpkinfest is near!  This Saturday, October 21st beginning at 5 pm, come one, come all! It is bigger than last year’s event, with more games, more activities, and more food.  Please visit our website for more information there, you may also access the online auction still ongoing until tomorrow afternoon.

You will use your student’s ID number at the passcode to access your student’s picture. This number can be found on your Family Harmony Account. Scroll to the bottom of the page where it says “Schedule,” the number will on the right side (Student ID). If you have questions or issues with ordering pictures, please contact Kirkwood Photo at 812.332.4888.

Pizza X POP Tabs: Love Pizza X? Love EJHS? Eat pizza from Pizza X and save the Proof-Of-Purchase (POP) tabs from the pizza boxes. Ask your friends and family to save them as well. Each Proof-Of-Purchase tab is worth 25 cents. Bring your tabs to the Main Office anytime throughout the year.

Not Feeling Well: Students if you’re not feeling well report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES

Academic Super Bowl Team: Are you interested in the 1980s and 90s? Do your friends call you smart? Do you like winning competitions and showing off your knowledge? If so, then you should join the Academic Super Bowl Team! It’s kind of like sports, but for your brain! There will be teams for English, math, science, and social studies. The topic this year is the 1980s and 1990s. If you are interested, there will be a callout meeting after school on Monday, October 23rd in Mr. Anspaugh’s room from 2:30 to 3:00. Come to learn more about the teams.

Try Lacrosse: TRY LACROSSE event for this fall! Sunday, Oct 22nd, 2-4 pm, Karst Farm Park Bowl field. No need for equipment or experience to participate! FREE Lacrosse is a great sport: fast-paced, works well for all body types, team-centered, and more! This is a Spring sport with optional, low-key fall and winter practice/conditioning. We offer an all-area middle school team (co-ed), an all-area high school girls’ team, an all-area high school boy’s team (“North”), and a BHSS boy’s team. We are super excited to be getting ready for our newest team: Middle School Girl’s LAX starting Sp25. For Sp24, we ask Middle school gals to play on the co-ed middle school team.

Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athlete prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. FinalForms: All physicals are now completed through FinalForms. All athletes MUST be registered on FinalForms. Register HERE

Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete will be required to pay a $30 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink. Under contact information, please enter your athlete’s name and the sport you are paying for. for example “John Doe – Cross Country.” If you are paying for more than one athlete, please purchase them separately.

Event Tickets: We are cashless. We will have a card reader for bank and credit cards at the gate. Or you can pre-purchase tickets on Eventlink HERE.

  • Gate Ticket Prices: $5 per person
  • EJHS All Sports Season Passes: Each pass is good for admission to all home EJHS athletic events excluding County and WIC tournaments. Non-Transferable – Edgewood High School events are not covered by this pass.
    • 2023-2024 Family Pass (Immediate Family Only) – $100
    • 2023-2024 Adult Pass – $40
    • 2023-2024 Student/Child Pass – $20
    • 2023-2024 Senior Pass – $20

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT
