RESULTS
Last night the 7th grade volleyball team fought hard against st Charles but came out short by just a few points. Braylin Bentley had 4 aces, 1 kill, and 23 assists, also Annalise Emmons had 1 ace, 14 assists, and 3 kills. The 8th grade team also fought hard and they came home with a win. Meg Wilson had 8 aces and 8 assists and Cora Jones had 9aces 25 assists and 7kills. Great job ladies! The team needs everyone to come out on Thursday as they take on Batchelor in the last home game of the season!
Monday night the girls and boy cross country team split the meet against Brown County with the boys getting the win. Notable performers were Kaitlyn Woodcock, Katelyn Ripley, Hailey Taylor, Zaden Norris, Noah Gallager, Garrett Brown, and Nash Waterford. We have seen a ton of improvement this season and are excited for the WIC meet on Saturday!
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
EJHS will be hosting its first Career Panel of the year on Friday, 9/29! Students who are interested in fine arts and digital communications areas are encouraged to join! You will hear from community members who work as a Podcast Host, Graphic Designer, Web Designer, and the owners of the business Board and Brush. Please complete this Google Form to let us know you’re coming. The meeting will take place in Mr. Grile’s classroom (Room 205).

Dodge and Donate: Thanks to your amazing donations with Dodge and Donate – we raised over $12,000 for EJHS! Dodgeball championship games will be played during our convocation on Friday, Oct 6th!

EJHS GLOW PARTY – Tickets on Sale NOW! The EJHS Student Council and PTO invite you to join us on October 20 at the EJHS Fall GLOW PARTY (2:30-5 pm at EJHS)! We will have a DJ in the gym and will be selling pizza, glow items, candy, and drinks in the cafeteria. All proceeds go directly back to support EJHS students and teachers through your EJHS PTO; this event is open to EJHS students only. Pre-sale tickets are $6–if you purchase a ticket with cash at the door it will be $7. Kirkwood Yearbook Pictures: Don’t fret if you didn’t pre-order pictures, an online link will be emailed out for you to order pictures after proofs have been released. Kirkwood’s goal is to have pictures printed and the link available no later than October 12th. If you missed getting your picture taken, a make-up day will be scheduled soon.
Pizza X POP Tabs: Love Pizza X? Love EJHS? Eat pizza from Pizza X and save the Proof-Of-Purchase (POP) tabs from the pizza boxes. Ask your friends and family to save them as well. Each Proof-Of-Purchase tab is worth 25 cents. Bring your tabs to the Main Office anytime throughout the year.
Not Feeling Well: Students if you’re not feeling well report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Design Lab Club: The Design Lab Club will be tomorrow after school in the Design Lab. Any students who are interested can sign up by scanning the code on the fliers or clicking the online link. Here is the link: https://forms.gle/
6th Grade Girls’ Basketball: Tryouts will be held on October 4th and 5th from 6-7:30 pm in the main gym. You must have an athletic physical form on file and in FinalForms dated after April 1, 2023, in order to participate.

EJHS Student-Athlete of the Week: The Edgewood Junior High School student-athlete of the week is Ryne Klinger. Ryne was nominated by Coach Brookman as a member of the Boys Tennis team. Along with being a great student, Ryne was nominated for his excellent attitude at practice, his hard work, and the way he encourages his teammates. He is an excellent leader on and off the court. Great job, Ryne!
Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athlete prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. FinalForms: All physicals are now completed through FinalForms. All athletes MUST be registered on FinalForms. Register HERE
Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete will be required to pay a $30 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink. Under contact information, please enter your athlete’s name and the sport you are paying for. for example “John Doe – Cross Country.” If you are paying for more than one athlete, please purchase them separately.
Event Tickets: We are cashless. We will have a card reader for bank and credit cards at the gate. Or you can pre-purchase tickets on Eventlink HERE.
- Gate Ticket Prices: $5 per person or $15 per family
- EJHS All Sports Season Passes: Each pass is good for admission to all home EJHS athletic events excluding County and WIC tournaments. Non-Transferable – Edgewood High School events are not covered by this pass.
