Graduation 2024 - Edgewood Schools

Friday, May 31 – Graduation Practice 

Location – EHS Gym 

Time Seniors need to report – 9:30 AM

Important note – You must participate in practice in order to walk across the stage on Graduation day. You do not wear caps and gowns to practice.

**After practice we ask that all seniors attend the Senior luncheon, where the video will be played and the photo collage will be on display. ** 

Saturday, June 1 – Graduation Day 

Location – EHS Gym 

Time the front doors open: 9:30 AM

Time Seniors are to report to the back gym: 10:30 AM

Ceremony start time: 11:00 AM

**Seniors must turn in their robes after Graduation (in a timely manner before leaving the premises) in order to physically get a copy of their diploma to put into the diploma sleeve they receive walking across the stage. 

* Robe collection will take place in the hallway next to the main office.

Graduation Dress

  • Edgewood High School takes pride in its distinguished graduation ceremonies, renowned for their formal ambience. This formality adds a touch of significance to the occasion. In preparation for this special event, we kindly request that graduates adhere to the following dress code:
  • For male: Dress pants paired with dress shoes and a collared shirt are mandatory. While wearing a tie is preferred, those who consider their “Sunday best” to include boots may opt for them. However, tennis shoes, sandals, or flip-flops are not permitted.
  • For female: Options include a dress or dress pants paired with a dress top. Sandals, flats, or high heels are acceptable footwear choices, but flip-flops or tennis shoes are not permitted.
  • Regardless of gender, jeans of any color are not allowed. Additionally, caps and gowns should remain unaltered, and only official Edgewood High School regalia should be worn.

Graduation Ceremony Reminders 

  • Floor seating behind Seniors and 1st row of bottom bleachers are reserved for handicapped seating. 
  • There are no tickets, nor is there a limit on the number of guests. Seating, aside from handicapped, is first come first serve.
  • Please be respectful of allowing all graduates to hear their names being called as they walk across the stage. 

Graduation Parking 

  • You will be able to park around all sides of the school; entrance 11 will be open in the back.
