The 7th Grade Boys’ Basketball “A” team beat Tri-North 41-32. The “B” team lost a tight game 31-26. Both teams struggled from the field but battled hard on the floor.

Hello, future Mustang families!
We are excited to host our annual Edgewood Baseball Winter Warm-up as our youth prepare for their 2024 baseball season!
We will host two sessions on Sunday, February 25th, and Sunday, March 3rd. Our younger group (grades 3, 4, and 5) will go from 1:00-2:45 with our older group (grades 6, 7, and 8) going from 3:00-5:15.
Campers will get two sessions of skills, drills, and games along with a camp t-shirt with the registration. The camp is led by our current Edgewood players and coaching staff from both EHS and EJHS. The cost is $50.

The Elk’s Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest is this Sunday from 1:30-4 pm at EHS. It is free to register. An EJHS student finished second in the state last year. Those who move on and win district and the state competition will advance to the national championship in your age and gender category during halftime of the Bulls game in Chicago. And…. the winner’s names are enshrined in The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame forever!

Students, just a reminder that you need to take your Chromebook home every day to charge it and bring it back the next day. If you have issues with your device, please see Ms. Edgeman in the Library. Also, stickers and gum wrappers are not allowed on the Chromebooks.

Art Club: will begin meeting today after school in room 216. We meet every other Friday until 3:30. If you have never attended, you can still join us. Along with fun art activities and challenges, we will also be helping the Theater Club create art for their performance this spring.

Edgewood Fishing Team: Call out to anyone wanting to join the Edgewood Fishing Team. We are accepting 7th grade to seniors. Will be participating in a Bass tournament and competing against other schools. There will be a meeting on 1/17/24 at 6 pm at EHS in the cafeteria. ATHLETICS INFORMATION
Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athletes prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete will be required to pay a $30 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink. Under contact information, please enter your athlete’s name and the sport you are paying for. for example “John Doe – Cross Country.” If you are paying for more than one athlete, please purchase them separately.

Not Feeling Well: Students if you’re not feeling well report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.

Chromebooks/Chargers: If you are a student and do not have a Chromebook, please visit Ms. Edgeman in the Media Center. Any issues, repairs, etc. also need to go to the Media Center. Due to the high demand and lack of supply, we will no longer be able to provide students with a loaner charger during school hours.
