STUDENT ACTIVITIES
7th & 8th Grade Volleyball: Tryouts are today after school until 4 pm in the main gym.
Boys’ Tennis: Interested in playing on the boys’ tennis team this year? Come out to the first practice happening today from 4:30-6 pm at the Edgewood tennis courts. If you have any questions then contact Mr. Dixon in Room 218
Robotics Team: EJHS Robotics is gearing up for a great 2024 2025 season and we need you on our team! Anyone interested in robotics is invited to participate in any of our practices during August. We meet Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. in room 221. Pick-up is from door 9 at or before 4 p.m. We encourage our team members to play sports, play in the band, or do show choir. We happily work around those schedules. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Grimes or Mrs. Hanson.
ATHLETICS INFORMATION
Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire next school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athlete prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. FinalForms: All physicals are now completed through FinalForms. All athletes MUST be registered on FinalForms. Register HERE
Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete will be required to pay a $35 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink HERE.
Event Tickets: We are cashless. We will have a card reader for bank and credit cards at the gate. Or you can pre-purchase tickets on Eventlink HERE.

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT
The final day to request a schedule change for the school year is Tuesday, August 13th. Counselors will make all updates in Harmony by the end of the day on Friday, August 18th. Many elective classes are currently filled, but we will look into all schedule change requests made by the due date. The only requests that will not be considered are requests for a specific teacher, swapping the same class for a different period, or requests to be with friends. Students will be notified by email if their schedule change request is possible.
Students who would like to request to see their counselor should complete this Google form: EJHS Counselor Sign up. The form should only be completed using the student’s RBB email.
INTERESTING FACTS:
Before becoming the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln was a professional wrestler who participated in underground wrestling for over a decade. He was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1992.
