RESULTS

The Cross Country team traveled to Brown County on Monday. The boys finished ahead of the Eagles in a close race, but the girls were unable to outpace their girls’ team. Lucas Kingsbury finished 13th, Henry Padgett 12th, Connor Robinson 11th, Matthew Rouker 7th, Soren Kensek 6th, Noah Gallagher 2nd, and Zaden Norris 1st. For the girls, Johanna Geboy was 13th, Emma Curtis 12th, Ava Cassidy 11th, Abigail Gregory 10th, Payton Connelley 6th, Keaton Connors 5th, and Josephine Buckley 1st. Come out Thursday on our home course to see the Colts face off in the WIC Conference meet at 5:30.

EJHS GLOW PARTY – Tickets are on Sale NOW!
The EJHS PTO invites you to join us on October 25 at the EJHS Fall GLOW PARTY (2:30-5 PM at EJHS)! We will have a DJ in the gym and will be selling pizza, glow items, candy, and drinks in the cafeteria. All proceeds go directly back to support EJHS students and teachers through your EJHS PTO; this event is open to EJHS students only. Pre-sale tickets are $6–if you purchase a ticket with cash at the door it will be $7. All pre-sale tickets will be handed out to EJHS students prior to the dance to make entry faster (a benefit of pre-purchasing)!

School Picture Retakes will be on October 28th. 

EJHS Fall Flu and Covid Clinic: This will be on Thursday, October 31st. Please have the completed forms returned to the EJHS Health Office no later than October 15th. If you need a paper copy contact the EJHS Health Office.

6th Grade Girls’ Basketball: Tryouts will be today in the main gym and tomorrow in the multi-purpose room from 2:45-4:15 pm. You must have an athletic physical form on file and in FinalForms dated after April 1, 2024, in order to participate.

Academic Super Bowl: Attention all smarty pants! Do you get fantastic grades in class? Do all of your friends call you a brainiac? Are you interested in learning about Ireland? If so, consider joining the Academic Super Bowl. It is an academic competition where you get the chance to compete against other schools to see who’s the smartest! For more information, come to the call-out meeting on Tuesday, October 8th from 2:30 to 3:00 in Mr. Anspaugh’s room.

Coding Club: Reminder that the Coding Club starts in the Design Lab today after school. Pick-up will be outside Door 14.

Softball Fall Conditioning: Attention Lady Colts: If you are interested in trying out for softball this year, or would like to practice your softball skills, join us for fall conditioning!  Starting this Tuesday, September 24, we will host an after-school conditioning/skills practice after school, from 2:45 to 3:45 every Tuesday until Fall break.  You are welcome to leave your gear in Mrs. Ayer’s room on Tuesdays.  Fill out the online form to let us know you are interested!  All are welcome! Edgewood CrossFit: Attention Colts! Edgewood CrossFit started this week! Edgewood CrossFit is a new afterschool program for 6th-8th grade students who want to learn healthy habits, grow stronger, and learn new athletic skills with guidance from a coach. We will meet every Monday and Wednesday from 2:30 – 4 pm in the EJHS weight room. Any students interested in joining must fill out the interest form sent via email. Daily attendance check-in will be required. Classes will be capped at 16 each day. For more information, visit Coach Randi or Mr. Sparks in the weight room.

Edgewood CrossFit Student Interest Form

Edgewood Wrestling Club PreK – 6th Grade Information: Edgewood Youth Wrestling is for all students through Grade 6 who are interested in wrestling. Practice for 6th grade students will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 7-8 pm. Parent meeting and practice start dates are to be determined. ATHLETICS INFORMATION

Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athlete prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. FinalForms: All physicals are now completed through FinalForms. All athletes MUST be registered on FinalForms. Register HERE

Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete will be required to pay a $35 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink HERE.

Event Tickets: We are cashless. We will have a card reader for bank and credit cards at the gate. Or you can pre-purchase tickets on Eventlink HERE.

  • Gate Ticket Prices: $5 per person
  • EJHS All Sports Season Passes: Each pass is good for admission to all home EJHS athletic events excluding County and WIC tournaments. Non-Transferable – Edgewood High School events are not covered by this pass.

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT

Students who would like to request to see their counselor should complete this Google form: EJHS Counselor Sign up. The form should only be completed using the student’s RBB email.

Attention Students!
Have you had a rough start to your morning and forgot to brush your teeth or put on deodorant? From today on, if you find yourself in this situation you complete our Colts Care Closet form online and your EJHS Student Services providers will help you get those needs met. We have new hygiene products, new or gently used clothing, and more available for your personal use. You will find the link to the Colts Care form in your email, on the counselor sign-up form, and in your student bookmarks. We look forward to providing this support to you and want to thank everyone who has donated to this cause!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Pizza X POP Tabs: Love Pizza X? Love EJHS? Eat pizza from Pizza X and save the Proof-Of-Purchase (POP) tabs from the pizza boxes. Ask your friends and family to save them as well. Each Proof-Of-Purchase tab is worth 25 cents.

Not Feeling Well: Students, if you’re not feeling well, report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.

Student Photographs, Videos, and/or Sound Recordings Opt-Out:  Last year we moved to students having to OPT OUT of having their photo taken. This means all students are allowed to have their photo taken unless their parent/guardian fills out the attached form and brings it back to the office.

Chromebooks/Chargers: If you have any issues or damage to your Chromebook please see Ms. Edgeman in the Media Center. See Ms. Edgeman if you need to purchase a new charger.
