RESULTS

Congratulations to the Junior High members of the Marching Mustangs who helped capture the Indiana State School Music Association Class C State Marching Band Championship this past weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium. This is the third win in a row for the Marching Mustangs. Members this year included Caitlyn Bayne, Bella Bennett, Garrett Clark, Carver Crowe, Ethan Fletcher, Madigan Flynn, Ezra Jans, Ava Kopach, Haylea Scott, Anderson Shertzer, Owen Shields, Wyatt Smith, Adam Vitale, Beau Wallman, Jackson Warren and Jack Welch. Prop helpers included Hailee Dine, Zander Hoard, Brynnley Leturgez, and Charlotte Lucas.

INTERESTING FACTS

German chocolate cake was invented by an English-American baker named Samuel German. It has nothing to do with the country of Germany.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

There is no Baking Club this week.

Coding Club will take place after school tomorrow, in the Design Lab. Pick-up will be outside Door 14.

The Pantry 279 Food Drive is well underway! At this time, Mr. Norris’ 6th grade homeroom is in the lead! A few other homerooms are rocking it too, but not quite to the level of Mr. Norris’ group! Keep up the good work and remember that our donations are going right back into our community! So, keep bringing in your boxes of biscuit or cornbread mix! We’ll accept donations through the school day on Wednesday, 11/13.

Pizza X POP Tabs: Love Pizza X? Love EJHS? Eat pizza from Pizza X and save the Proof-Of-Purchase (POP) tabs from the pizza boxes. Ask your friends and family to save them as well. Each Proof-Of-Purchase tab is worth 25 cents. The week of November 18th-22nd POPs are worth Double during National Education Week.

Go to the Library during Regulation Break each Friday for a group photo and see Ms. Edgeman by lunchtime to be judged! The winner gets a free ticket to any home game!!

Edgewood Cadet Guard Auditions: Are you ready to spin, dance, and perform for crowds?! If you’ve got passion, dedication, and a flair for performing, we want YOU to audition for our Edgewood Cadet Guard!
Audition Details:
Date: Monday, November 11 & Friday, November 15 (welcome to attend both days, but only one day is necessary)
Time: 5-8 pm
Location: EJHS Bandroom – Entrance 2
Who: Open to all interested 5th-8th grade students! No prior experience is required, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are a must.

Cuddly Colt Club: The first meeting will be in the guidance office after school on November 12th. Pick-up is between 3:15 and 3:25 p.m.

Edgewood CrossFit: We will meet every Monday and Wednesday from 2:30 – 4 pm in the EJHS weight room. Any students interested in joining must fill out the interest form sent via email. Daily attendance check-in will be required. Classes will be capped at 16 each day. For more information, visit Coach Randi or Mr. Sparks in the weight room.

The Edgewood Basketball Fall Fan Shop is open! Order your Edgewood Basketball gear and be ready for all your winter games! Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athlete prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. FinalForms: All physicals are now completed through FinalForms. All athletes MUST be registered on FinalForms. Register HERE

Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete will be required to pay a $35 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink HERE.

Event Tickets: We are cashless. We will have a card reader for bank and credit cards at the gate. Or you can pre-purchase tickets on Eventlink HERE.

  • Gate Ticket Prices: $5 per person. plus .85 cent fee
  • EJHS All Sports Season Passes: Each pass is good for admission to all home EJHS athletic events excluding County and WIC tournaments. Non-Transferable – Edgewood High School events are not covered by this pass.

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT

Students who would like to request to see their counselor should complete this Google form: EJHS Counselor Sign up. The form should only be completed using the student’s RBB email.

Attention Students!
Have you had a rough start to your morning and forgot to brush your teeth or put on deodorant? From today on, if you find yourself in this situation you complete our Colts Care Closet form online and your EJHS Student Services providers will help you get those needs met. We have new hygiene products, new or gently used clothing, and more available for your personal use. You will find the link to the Colts Care form in your email, on the counselor sign-up form, and in your student bookmarks. We look forward to providing this support to you and want to thank everyone who has donated to this cause!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Bullying Report Form: Students can find a link to this form on their Chromebooks in their “Student Bookmarks”. Parents can use this LINK to complete the form as well. For additional information about IDOE Student Safety/Bullying Reporting feel free to visit the following site.

Not Feeling Well: Students, if you’re not feeling well, report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.

Student Photographs, Videos, and/or Sound Recordings Opt-Out:  Last year we moved to students having to OPT OUT of having their photo taken. This means all students are allowed to have their photo taken unless their parent/guardian fills out the attached form and brings it back to the office.

Chromebooks/Chargers: If you have any issues or damage to your Chromebook please see Ms. Edgeman in the Media Center. See Ms. Edgeman if you need to purchase a new charger.
