GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

It’s OV WEEK and the LADY MUSTANGS need your help!  They are hosting a re-stock the pantry food drive and they are in competition with the OV girls basketball team to get it done. The OV team is also hosting a drive; we want to collect more than them!  We will be collecting all week and the winner of the food drive competition will be announced at the game on Friday.  If you have it in your heart to support Pantry 279 and you love the good ole rivalry with OV and have to beat them at all costs, then this is your opportunity to beat them and help others.  Please bring in donations for the pantry this week. A donation bin is set up in the commons and you can drop off canned goods before school and during lunches.
Students, are you considering a job or career in Social Services or maybe aren’t sure and would be interested in learning more about:
  • counseling
  • education
  • rehabilitation
  • therapy
  • social work
  • and many more
If so, then please use the Google doc sent to your school email to sign up for the next Career Panel scheduled for Thursday Jan 16th in the ILC during homeroom.  Guest speakers in the social services field will be here to discuss their roles and allow time for questions.  If you have any questions about the Career Panel please see Mrs. Harrington.

Seniors interested in becoming a teacher:  The Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship application is due January 31.  This is a $10,000 per year scholarship.  We often have seniors receive this scholarship.  See yesterday’s email from Mr. Faust for more information.

If you are interested in playing girls tennis this spring there will be a call out meeting on January 21st in Miss Brookman’s classroom (E108). It will start at 2:35 and go till 2:50. If you can’t make it but would like to be a part of the team, please contact Miss Brookman.

Offseason workouts for Track and Field will begin today after school. Meet outside of the weightroom at 2:45 dressed for both inside work and outside weather. Until the snow melts, we will stay inside but be prepared including stocking caps and gloves.

STUDENT PARKING: Students park in the front parking lot. In order to drive to school students must fill out the PARKING PERMIT APPLICATION

You will then need to go to Mr. Latham in the front office with $1 and your driver’s license to get your parking permit. If you registered your vehicle previously, you do NOT need to get another permit.
