2022-2023 Enrollment

Below you’ll find proposed plans for class offerings at Edgewood Early Childhood Center (EECC) for the 2022-2023 school year.

In addition to the class offerings listed below, here are some important things to know about EECC, the preschool of the Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation.

  • Enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year will open (online only) on Tuesday, March 1 at 10:00am.

  • An enrollment link will be shared with you by email and posted on our social media sites at exactly 10:00am on Tuesday, March 1.

  • It is important to note that being on our current waiting list is not the same as enrolling for the 2022-2023 school year and does not give a student priority placement for the coming school year.

  • EECC is moving into its new, preschool-dedicated facility (connected to Edgewood Primary School) in March 2022. Tours will be offered during the month of February. Information about scheduling tours will be provided soon.

  • EECC is a Paths to Quality Level 3 preschool.

  • Tuition assistance for students who are four years old by August 31, 2022 is available through On My Way Pre-K (onmywayprek.org) for families that meet financial eligibility requirements.

  • EECC uses The Creative Curriculum as our curriculum to meet Indiana’s Early Learning Foundations for preschoolers. Click the links to learn more about these tools.

  • Exact times for next year’s classes have not yet been set. Our 2021-2022 full-day schedule is 8:45am-2:45pm. Our 2021-2022 half-day schedules are 9:00-11:15 and 12:30-2:45. Times for the 2022-2023 school year will be similar but might not be identical to our current schedules.

  • EECC follows the school year calendar of the Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation, which can be viewed here.

  • Families are responsible for transportation to and from preschool. Bus transportation is available only to students whose Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) dictate a need for this service.

  • Students do not need to be potty-trained in order to attend EECC.

  • If your student will be five by August 1, 2022, they meet the age requirements for kindergarten at Edgewood Primary School. If your student will be five by August 31, 2022, they might qualify for a space in Edgewood Primary School’s tuition-free K-5 classes, pending availability. More information about K-5 can be found here.

  • Priority placement is offered to current students, children of R-BB staff, in-district students with existing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), students who have a sibling who currently attends EECC and will still be attending EECC in the 2022-2023 school year, and students who live in the Richland-Bean Blossom district. All other enrollments are honored on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • A limited number of spaces in Latch Key, our before and after school program, will be available at an additional cost for students who are four years old by August 31, 2022 or are children of school corporation staff. Priority enrollment is given to students who live in-district. All other enrollments are honored on a first-come, first-served basis. Latch Key enrollment will open May 1, 2022. Contact Josie Pace (jpace@rbbschools.net) for more information.

  • To learn more about preschool at EECC, our 2021-2022 school handbook is available (https://rbbschools.net/documents/). An updated school handbook will be available for the 2022-2023 school year.
