Important Information
Enrollment:
- Enrollment for 2023-2024 school year will open March 1st at 10:00 am. An enrollment link will be shared by email and posted on our school website at exactly 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 1st.
- It is important to note that being on our current waiting list is not the same as enrolling for the 2023-2024 school year and does not give a student priority placement for the coming school year.
- Priority placement is offered to current students, children of Edgewood staff, in-district students with existing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), students who have a sibling who currently attends EECC and will still be attending EECC in the 2023-2024 school year, and students who live in the Richland-Bean Blossom district. All other enrollments are honored on a first-come, first-served basis.
- If your student will be 5 by August 1, 2023, they meet the age requirements for kindergarten at Edgewood Primary School. If your student will be 5 by August 31, 2023, they might qualify for a space in Edgewood Primary School’s tuition-free K-5 classes, pending availability. More information about K-5 can be found HERE.

- Families are responsible for transportation to and from preschool. Bus transportation is available only to students whose Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) dictate a need for this service.
- Students do not need to be potty-trained in order to attend EECC.
- A limited number of spaces in Latch Key, our before and after school program, will be available at an additional cost for students who are 4 years old by August 31, 2023 or are children of school corporation staff. Priority enrollment is given to students who live in-district. All other enrollments are honored on a first-come, first-served basis. Latch Key enrollment will open in May. Contact Josie Pace (jpace@rbbschools.net) for more information
- Tuition assistance for students who are 4 years old by August 31, 2023 is available through On My Way Pre-K (onmywayprek.org) for families that meet financial eligibility requirements.
About EECC:
- EECC is located in our new, preschool-dedicated facility (connected to Edgewood Primary School).
- The state requires a 12:1 student to staff ratio for Pre-K classrooms and a 10:1 ratio for 3 year olds. At EECC our average student to staff ratio is approximately 8:1.
- EECC is a “Paths to Quality Level 3” preschool, using a curriculum that supports children’s learning and school readiness. Level 3 programs focus on the professional development of their staff. Additionally, they incorporate family and staff input into their program. Learn more HERE.
- EECC uses “The Creative Curriculum” as our curriculum to meet Indiana’s Early Learning Foundations for preschoolers. Learn more HERE.
