GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Veteran’s Day Program: We will be hosting our Veteran’s Day program at 10:10 am on Monday, November 11th at the Edgewood Junior High School Gymnasium. We would like to invite our community Veterans and EJHS family Veterans to be honored at this program. Please fill out the following form for any Veteran interested in attending. Information can also be provided by contacting the school office at (812)876-2005. Please have this information turned in no later than November 8th. We will open door 2 at 9:30 am for guests to meet in the cafe. We will call students who have visiting veterans to the cafe when they arrive.

Thanksgiving Food Drive for Pantry 279: Our annual Pantry 279 Food Drive is underway! Your EJHS Student Council and PTO have combined efforts to collect Cornbread/Biscuit Mix to donate to Pantry 279 for their Thanksgiving food basket drive. Any brand of items is great—please bring them to your homerooms 10/21-11/13; the TOP THREE HOMEROOMS that collect the most boxes will win a surprise breakfast treat/prize!
Pantry 279 works tirelessly to feed our local community and they rely on the kindness and generosity of people to help—they are planning on building nearly 2500 boxes this Thanksgiving! Our goal is to collect 500 boxes of bread mix.

Pizza X POP Tabs: Love Pizza X? Love EJHS? Eat pizza from Pizza X and save the Proof-Of-Purchase (POP) tabs from the pizza boxes. Ask your friends and family to save them as well. Each Proof-Of-Purchase tab is worth 25 cents. The week of November 18th-22nd POPs are worth Double during National Education Week.

Baking Club Schedule for the Week of November 4th:

Cuddly Colt Club: We’re bringing back the Cuddly Colt Club, featuring our amazing school therapy dog, Barley! The club will start after fall break and will include:
- Playtime with Barley: Enjoy some fun and cuddly moments with our furry friend!
- Pen Pals: Connect with other therapy dog teams and classrooms across the nation to share experiences and stories.
- Fun Activities: Participate in games, crafts, and more with Barley and your fellow club members!

Edgewood CrossFit: We will meet every Monday and Wednesday from 2:30 – 4 pm in the EJHS weight room. Any students interested in joining must fill out the interest form sent via email. Daily attendance check-in will be required. Classes will be capped at 16 each day. For more information, visit Coach Randi or Mr. Sparks in the weight room.

Athletic Physicals: Student-athletes must have a completed physical before they may participate in tryouts or practice. A physical dated after April 1 is good for the entire school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of the athletic physical night at Edgewood High School each spring in order to have their student-athlete prepared for any activity they choose to participate in for the following school year. FinalForms: All physicals are now completed through FinalForms. All athletes MUST be registered on FinalForms. Register HERE

Transportation Fees: Each student-athlete will be required to pay a $35 transportation fee for each sport in which he/she participates. Make payments on Eventlink HERE.

Event Tickets: We are cashless. We will have a card reader for bank and credit cards at the gate. Or you can pre-purchase tickets on Eventlink HERE.
- Gate Ticket Prices: $5 per person. plus .85 cent fee
- EJHS All Sports Season Passes: Each pass is good for admission to all home EJHS athletic events excluding County and WIC tournaments. Non-Transferable – Edgewood High School events are not covered by this pass.
COUNSELING DEPARTMENT

Attention Students!
Have you had a rough start to your morning and forgot to brush your teeth or put on deodorant? From today on, if you find yourself in this situation you complete our Colts Care Closet form online and your EJHS Student Services providers will help you get those needs met. We have new hygiene products, new or gently used clothing, and more available for your personal use. You will find the link to the Colts Care form in your email, on the counselor sign-up form, and in your student bookmarks. We look forward to providing this support to you and want to thank everyone who has donated to this cause!

Bullying Report Form: Students can find a link to this form on their Chromebooks in their “Student Bookmarks”. Parents can use this LINK to complete the form as well. For additional information about IDOE Student Safety/Bullying Reporting feel free to visit the following site.
Not Feeling Well: Students, if you’re not feeling well, report to the Health Office. The Health Aide will contact your parent if you need to go home. By-passing the Health Office and contacting your parent yourself will be an unexcused absence. Parents, if your student contacts you, please refer them to the Health Office.

Student Photographs, Videos, and/or Sound Recordings Opt-Out: Last year we moved to students having to OPT OUT of having their photo taken. This means all students are allowed to have their photo taken unless their parent/guardian fills out the attached form and brings it back to the office.

Chromebooks/Chargers: If you have any issues or damage to your Chromebook please see Ms. Edgeman in the Media Center. See Ms. Edgeman if you need to purchase a new charger.
